Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very old and hasn't been changed much in these years. Most of the subjects of first year are irrelevant and of no use. Only second year onwards the subject are more inclined towards the individual branch.
Internships Opportunities
College has decent internship opportunities and many companies visit for placement. However, due to high intake, the number of student have increased and so most of the students do not get internship.
Placement Experience
The placement of higher branches like CSE ECE and AIML are well enough with the average package of 1700000. Students of 7th and 8th semester are eligible for campus placement. Apart from that students of 5th and 6th semester are eligible for campus internship and have high chances of PPO
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester tution fees us 165000 for 1st year students and keeps on increasing by 10% percent per semester. The hostel fees is 25000 per sem and mess fees is approx 30000. There is no management quota in BIT and extra benefit are given to students of SC/ST quota. The tution fees is approximately same for every branch.
Campus Life
Bit mesra has more than 30 clubs and each has a unique significance. The campus life is very good with a nice weather and lush green campus. Socially, college promotes every caste and religion. In terms of infrastructure the campus is a little old but very spacious.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are very poor. Students are given a very small room with double sharing. Earlier boys used to get single rooms after first year but now due to increasing intake, students have to live in double sharing in those single rooms. Mess quality is decent
Admission
Placement and location were the reason for choosing this college. The weather of mesra is very pleasant. Placement wise, placement of upper branches is good and many companies visit the campus for hiring.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is nearly 10 : 1 . The student teacher relationship depends in the teacher. While some teachers are good and are open to doubts and ideas some teachers are not. But the overall experience with faculty is good. Specially faculty of CSE and AIML are good.
Night Life
Girls have in timing of 9pm and boys have an official timing till 10pm. The college is strict for girls timing and no girls should be present after 9pm. However boys timing is chill and can hangout in the campus late at night.
