Course Curriculum Overview
My passion for computer science drove me here i was getting nsut as well The curriculum is well built up with many hackathons to help us prepare for real job Areas of improvement would be lessening the irrelevant electrical and ece courses for cse students Two midsems every semester and easy mostly
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is 186000 per annum for btech and there are numerous scholarships available for deserving students whose parents annual income is under 5 lakhs There is a management quota as well which is approx 10-12 lakhs per seat and there is a 85-90% criteria in boards for that The fees is really affordable as compared to other colleges with great return on investment
Campus Life
Techsurge and mridang are the annual fests which happen in our college typically held in july Huge 4 floor library with numerous books on all courses New block has padded seats with air conditioned classrooms Less sports activities but a lot of cultural activities with a fashion and music society There is one lgbtq friendly club, poetry club etc
Admission
I applied to nsut and dtu, i was getting electrical and ece related branches there but i wanted to pursue cse hence i chose mait No i didn't face any rejection i just wanted to join mait 2 process one is through jee and other is through management which requires 85%+ in boards
Faculty
Faculty-to-student ratio is around 70:1 The faculty to student relationship is totally teacher dependent some are approachable some are really rude My favourite faculty would be Ms. Shalu juneja who taught me dsa in 3rd semester she taught really well My least favourite faculty would be Ms Divya Arora she was our mentor and never understood our problems There are 2 mid sems every semester and the internal marks are based upon them
Night Life
There are 4 canteens with all varieties of vegetarian foods(sad news for non vegetarians) Campus timings: 9:30-5 Hostel timings:24×7 with no barriers Locality is safe at night too and the nearest hangout spots are 3 metro stations away which will take half an hour to reach
Other Applied Colleges
Msit | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Because of Mait's better infrastructure and greater alumni network with a better coding culture
