Btech Marine Engineering at Tolani Maritime Institute

The Exams Held are of moderate level like few papers are difficult and few comes very easy it depends on the preparation of the student. Exams are held after every month and class tests are held after completion of every chapter. As we don't Get much leaves or holiday it prepares us that we've to stay away from our closed ones when we go Onboard which is the best part of TMI.

Many Companies Like NYK,Chevron, British Petroleum, Carnival Cruise offer Stipend to students Which Ranges from 200-400$s per month and Internship is done during 8th semester which is of 4-6months depending on the Company whether it's On board or In Campus Internship.

From 1st Semester only Placement starts at Tolani Maritime Institute. Many Companies Visit TMI like MSC, Wallem,Torm Tankers, Chevron, Carnival Cruise, Synergy, MOL,WSM, EPS,British Petroleum,Stena Gas and many More. There's 100% Placement for all the Eligibile Students who've cleared there end semester exams. For internship few companies recruit students on board as well as we've in campus ship for internship.

For Btech Marine Engineering, The Course Fees for 4 years in 24.79lacs which Increases slightly every year. Girl Students get 50% Relaxation in Tution Fees and Hostel is Mandatory for both boys and girls as it's a residential Course. Scholarship is done in the basis of merit list of End Semester exam. There's no relaxation on caste basis.

There are more than 30 clubs in TMI, And Many Fests and Events are also held like Horizon , Transtech , Freshers Party and Many more . Classrooms are well advanced all are air conditioned . Campus is 100acres big consisting of 3 hostels and 1 girls hostel and Sports Facilities like Track and Field , badminton court, Tennis Court,Table Tennis Court, Football ground, Basketball court , Swimming Pool and many more

We get Good quality well Maintained Rooms and the mess Food is Better than any of the Colleges in India as menu is prepared according to the students. Even Faculty staff comes to have their Lunch at the hostel mess . As it's a residential Course Hostel is Compulsory till the Completion of the course.

I've Applied to SIMS Lonavala which is also a good Maritime Institute even I got the admission letter but I chose TMI over SIMS because In SIMS we Only Get 1 Company i.e ESM which has a very long Waiting period , they show that Waiting Period is Zero but Waiting Period is There for more than 2-4months in Marine Engineering. To get Admission in TMI, You need To clear IMU CET with a good and Give TMISAT which Comprises of a Online Test and A 10-15mins Interview. Also You should have more than 60% in PCM and more than 70% in English For 12th boards.

Faculty of TMI are very Experienced and Also many of them are retd Navy or Chief Engineers or Captains . They share their Experience to us and Guide us everytime when we need them. They're available for us Everytime. Faculties Conduct Exams Frequently to test the performance of the cadet whether they're performing or not . On the basis of their performance extra Classes are also being provided.

Nightouts are allowed only On Saturday nights where Students have to report TMI before Sunday 8pm . Every hostel has its own Gym . Many Cafeterias are also There in the college and Library is located at the Main block of the College .
