Remarks
Positive remarks are that we have good enough environment to study well. We have Asia's biggest hitech lecture hall " VLTC- Vivekanand Lecture Theatre Complex." Our college is at posh location in Malviya nagar, Jaipur. Every basic facility is available to the students. In my college experience, hardly I would have experienced any negative remark to this college. One negative remark may be that it's placement record is satisfactory in some branches like Computer science, Electronics, Mechanical but it's not so good in Civil, Metallurgy, Chemical.
Course Curriculum Overview
Here you will find a good range of courses i.e. BTech Computer science, Electronics, Electrical, Civil etc and BArch also & good options to get Masters, PhD degree etc. U may visit mnit.ac.in for info of each and every course. Exams are also taken periodically. According to my experience, in BTech we have to pass through written exams 3 times per semester in theory and one time laboratory exams per semester. Hence we are examined practically as well as theoretically.
Placement Experience
Placement & job opportunities are satisfactory as it is one of the top NITs of India. Many esteemed companies visit campus every year to recruit students for job. Yes our college provides internship. But I haven't enough knowledge about intenships yet because I haven't taken it yet but I am going to do internship in upcoming summers.
College Events
There are many cultural and sports & technical events whole over the year. Some of them are Blitzlag (Mostly cultural & biggest of the year), Sphinx, MST (Sports), Scholars Cup & many technical workshops are held for student's technical knowledge improvement like BAHA, Robotics (Technical) etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is little bit expensive compared to other NITs of country but less than IITs and private colleges. But however it is feasible. It is taken according to the categories of casts and annual income of parents of students. Fee is taken both for Hostel & Institute.
Fees and Financial Aid
If student has problem in affording the fee, he/she can apply for the loan but I didn't need for loan so I don't know more about loan facilities, however many of my friends are studying by loan. I get every year a scholarship by state Govt. named Post matric. It helps me in paying my fee easily. Many other scholarships are there but according to rules we can apply for only one during a year.
Campus Life
Facilities of extracurricular activities is also good. There is official MNIT team of every sport like cricket, volleyball, football, chess, kabaddi etc. For many things like singing, dancing, drama etc. there is separate society named CACS. And students can participate in every type of extracurricular activities in above mentioned annual fests/events. There are well mantained laboratories for every practical subject. We can gain good enough practical knowledge from labs.
Hostel Facilities
Yeah I have opted for hostel. Infrastructure is good enough for students. I'll rate it 4 out of 5. Surely it is better than other NITs of out country. We have total 11 good hostels for both girls and boys. All hostels have satisfactory mess service and enough living amenities.
Alumni/Alumna
Yeah, MNIT has a good alumni network. Many former MNITians have good job profile, hence providing help in finding jobs to their juniors/college mates. For yearly alumni meet, there is a separate society named ALCOM. Our alumni comes every year to college. And seniors are very helpful and juniors have to respect them. They both have really good relations. For any help juniors can fearlessly ask their seniors.
Admission
To get admission in college firstly I passed JEE(Mains) exam and checked my all india rank on basis of JEE(Mains) score. Then checked the cutoff rank to get addmission in MNIT. Then accordingly I filled MNIT as my first choice to take admission in BTech course & on basis of my rank I got civil branch here. Then following the rules of MNIT , I submitted all necessary docs to MNIT Administration and got admission here.
Faculty
Faculty of MNIT is very well qualified and well able to explain everything to students. Most of the faculty had pursued their qualifications from abroad, hence having good knowledge theoretically as well as pratically.
