Facilities at NIST

As per positive remarks is concerned there are many good things. There are always few bad things also but the works on it is going on to overcome. The relationship with faculties are very helpful. Institute is very concerned about academics inspite of any other activities.

Course curriculum is little bit tough but it will be easy to get 8 cgpa if someone will concentrate in class only but to get more than that it need continuous practice. It was previously affiliated with BPUT but now it is autonomous. So it might get some easy syllabus from 2020.

Talking about this year till now more than 450 studnets out of 650 are placed in many different companies. Infosys, wipro, tcs,aptus data lab, mindtree are some well known companies which visited the campus this year.

There are mainly two main events are celebrated yearly which are two fest. One with collaboration with ISTE and other by the college known as Sankalp and waves respectively. Aprat from that Himalayan trekking is always facilitated as well as mini trekking is also a main event for the freshers.

Talking about the fee structures the academic fees is about 1.20 lakh and hostel cum transportation is about 23000 and books are of 7500 apart from that 3000 will be for pre placement training and something aroung 5000 will be miscllanous. Mess charge will be 3200 per month.

There are many scholarships provided by faculties and staffs as well as institute itself. If you are a student from odisha then you are also eligible for tution fee wavier. Teaching assistantship as well as research scholarship is also funded by the institute.

There are many facilities provided by NIST for extracurricular activities. Few are swimming pool, gym, wall climbing, cricket, basketball, volleyball and many more. Nist indoor stadium is also there which is very large in size. Musical instruments are also there for those who want to avail.

The alumni network at NIST is very strong and effortless. Nist provide one site where nist's alumni register themselves for connectivity with students and teachers. Many internships are provided by them with the help of their references.

Through odisha jee ranking and with consideration of jee main examination 2016. I got Addmission with rank less than 1.40 lakh. I got CSE branch. Odisha jee counselling is the main authority for the Addmission.

All the faculties are highly qualified and having minimum of 5 years of experience. Many of the faculties are good at technical knowledge.They are always supporting and always motivate the students.
