Likes
- The best thing will be the supportive and experienced faculty, they understand the students and have a very interactive way of teaching. We can go to them anytime and they are always ready to help
- The infrastructure, comfortable seats, interconnected classrooms and air conditioning in each classroom
- Variety of food options available. Cuisines from every part of India due to presence of kiosks
Dislikes
- Gender ratio is misbalanced. In a class of 70, there may be on only 15 girls
- Massive crowd, sometimes there is a feel of congestion
- Vegetarian campus, being a non vegetarian it is very difficult to cope up
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is good and gets constantly improved to meet the industry requirements. I have taken cyber security as my minor and the syllabus was a big influence. I would feel more practicals could massively improve the learning experience.
Internships Opportunities
There are multiple internship opportunities offered by companies like Intel, Fractal, Microsoft and various other companies.Mostly we need to pass few coding and aptitude rounds. Then the upcoming HR rounds. Recently Dell offered 45k per month as stipend and 14-15lpa after that.
Placement Experience
Placements are very attractive. Students are generally eligible for placements from the 3rd year however students can apply for internships from 2nd year itself. Most of the students who register for placements and follow the guidelines, develop their skills get placed very easily.
Fees and Financial Aid
My fees per semester is 106000rs per semester. Which includes the examination fees. I had given the LPUNEST exam and I got category 3 scholarship of 15% which amounts to 18000rs. 102000rs is the tuition fees and 4000rs in the examination fees. There are no other additional charges. Only charges of 16000rs for placement applicable from third year. Few of my friends have category 1 scholarship due to which they pay around 86500rs.
Campus Life
My campus life was very vibrant. I joined a club in the first year itself. I had joined as a photographer and slowly steadily made my way upto the treasurer of the club. There are multiple clubs and we can choose one according to our personality and likelihood.
Admission
I chose LPU over the other colleges because it is a reputed institution. The large campus is indeed very attractive but the placements are much better. The admission process was simple. There was requirements of 10th and 12th marks and I had to give the entrance exam LPUNEST, which I passed and my scholarship was decided.
Faculty
Faculties are the best part about this university journey, very helpful and supportive. We are told about the seating on the very first lecture so that we can meet them whenever we have any doubt. Continuous assessment play a major role is the final markings. There are 3 CAs, mid term and finally end term. There are also marks for attendance.
Night Life
Since I have been a day scholar from the first semester itself, we are not allowed to stay over at night. We are allowed inside campus till 7pm. There are multiple gyms inside and also the presence of Dominoes, various cafés etc.
