College review

The college management is co-operative with the students. The transparency of the management and the interaction with the students allows a better co-ordination amongst the students. But there is still some sort of improvement in the administration process and a better working of the administration with the student parliament body.

Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi has one of the best course curriculum among other colleges in India as it focuses on the skills required at an industry. The course curriculum is so designed to help students achieve their professional goals. The exam pattern is such that it checks your concepts rather than how much you have mugged up.

The placement and job opportunity from IIT BHU is very good because of the high rated alumni network and training and placement cell is established in our college to improve the placement statistics. Every year hundreds of company come and give hundreds of job opportunity offers to students Placement percentage is about 75 to 80%. Our college provides opportunities to work on various projects.

Since our college is among the top institutes of India we celebrate 3 major events and many minor events also held accordingly 1.Technex: it is annual techno-management fest in which more than 20000 participants come and participate in this competition of technology science and Engineering 2.kashiyaatra: it is an annual cultural event held every year which include dance music play street play art and craft etc. 3. Spardha: paradise annual sport fest

The fee structure is not complex. For general category student tuition fees will be of 100000 every semester means 2 lakh every year and extra some question money of 9000 rupees in the time of admission and 5500 rupees for other administration fees excluding that 24000 rupees per year pay for hostel mess fees and hostel fees.

The scholarship is offered to those whom family income is less than 5,00,000 year or from reserved category. Other scholarships are provided by different schemes which will be informed by mail if available.

Campus if more than better. Green and pollution free. The gender ratio was 10:1 till last year but now due to the scheme of central government now it is increased to 10:3 nearly. Sports opportunity is good here, a team is there for each sport. Robotics and technical opportunities are offered by sntc club here. The platform is provided so One can compete in national level if he/she has skills.

Hostel facility and mess food is very good in IIT BHU. I am staying in Visvesaraya hostel in IIT BHU, this hostel is many years old and since you can understand how it looks like and the infrastructure is very bad unhygienic bathroom and toilet we use. The only thing good about the hostel is that it provides very delicious food.

Alumni network is strong here every year there is a visit of alumni to college to instruct students and inspect ongoing activities. Seniors are also helpful, they guide how to study and various opportunities that one is having. The seniors here are very helpful, they always guide their juniors for academics and other things.

To get admission in Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, one have to clear two exams,namely JEE mains and JEE advanced. There are almost 15 lacs students appearing for JEE mains and asking them only 2.2 lacs are qualified for the JEE advanced. After clearing JEE advanced, IITs make rank wise list based on your performance and based on this rank list you are called for the counselling process in IITs.

IIT BHU has one of best faculties in India. Many faculties here have studied in IITs itself, so they know how to teach us and enhance our skills. Our professor are very helpful in our academics and always ready to help us with our problems.
