A VITian's overview

Initially the curriculum and time table is a bit relaxed ... Not many classes are there ... No hectic ... Also there is a credit system so u have to get min 160 credits in whole cource and they are gained in cource wise 2,3,4 depending on cource and 16-20 credits per semister . Also there are credits for some practicals and project which are great . There are 2 exam in 1 st sem mid term and end term but from second sem onwards there will be only term end exam . The difficulty level is not too tough ... One can get good marks if he is regularly attentive in class and give around 1-2 hrs everyday on studies .

I am in 1st year 1st semester so don't know much about internships but I know recently CTS took over 300 students this year and there is a seperate year(4rth) provided for solely internships and the classes are not conducted in this year ... Also in third year the classes are conducted online for some students who get the internships in 3rd year .

1) After 3rd year students are eligible. 2 ) I don't know every company but recently Infosys , CTC visited our collage and took over 400 around people . 3) Highest package was around 50 lacks 4 ) Among the people who were eligible for campus placements , over 90% people got placement . 5) plans is Getting a job.

1) Current fees after maxm scholarship is 173000 . There is no percentage for scholarship but their are categories ... Category 1 is 173000 climbing upto category 5 having 460000 yearly fees . This lab fees reg fees etc . 2) Caution fees is 5000 and Admission fees is 25000 3) I can't properly remember the exact numbers In other branches but the fees differ between 2 to 5 lacks depending upon the categories which were alloted based on VIT entrance exam VITEEE. 4) Merit is top 100 students in VIT entrance exam gets 100 % scholarship and then based on rank and branch categories are divided ... No specifications are given to us but I can speculate a little about the numbers I mentioned above .

There are many events that occur very frequently. Different cultural festivals and dance , games events are very often occur . There are varieties of books available in library but the availability is not so good as there are many people who issue the books . The classrooms are great , every classroom has active projector and ventilation. Yea there are many student run social groups which are permitted by the collage . Some of them include mess management , cleaning management, event management, etc.

1) I applied for SRM University , NIT bhopal and JMI delhi as well. I got admitted into two of these ... Not in NIT bhopal and I chose over VIT because in SRM the fees was higher , and in JMI my wanting category was not alloted to me 2) NIT bhopal was a college I didn't went to because my JEE percentile was low for BTech cource . 3) Firstly is VITEEE , an entrance exam after which is councilling process (costing around 5000) . The top 4-8 thousand rank students got into VIT vellore and from 8k to 30k around in VIT bhopal in BTech . And rest to other VIT branches till 2 lack students . Also there is a Management quota but I don't know how much they ask or how many seats do they reserve .

The faculties are very approachable . They are very helpful and always available during the provided slots. My personal favourite is Dr Swati Chauhan mam which is My calculus teacher ... She's the best one so far cuz she is so helpful polite and like emits such positive aura which I really enjoy ... Also her teaching is fabulous.

The gyms are mostly packed ... Cafeteria is not very populated and every day closing off is done at 9 pm. I don't live in hostel so I don't have much idea but the closing off is done at 9 . Also some of the great hangout places are the gardens and near canal area where veiw is quite relaxing.
