Likes
- The campus location and environment is very well as for a student . You will get necessary things around the college campus, you don't have to travel for long.
- The college infrastructure is well-developed and offers a conducive environment for learning. It includes spacious classrooms, clean and hygienic cafeterias.
- Placement rate is good as our college offers many companies to students with good package .
Dislikes
- Very less holiday, very strict attendance
- Faculty is good but manegement is not that good
- Workshop teacher is rude and he targets students .
Course Curriculum Overview
As every one was doing CSE course I wanted to do something else , but in software sector so choose IT course. The improvement is needed in equipment of labs . In the course curriculum we have to make no. of assistants , files , practical etc. It's little bit hectic.
Internships Opportunities
There are internship available after you complete your second year. Yes college also provide some internship opportunities but it depends on students. Companies like Infosys and etc come in the college.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from 7th semester for the college placement. 40 to 50 percent is the ratio of the students getting placements.there are many companies visited our college like Amazon, Infosys,TCS,etc..
Fees and Financial Aid
The early fees they take in BTEC IT is around 133000 , but if we add other fees such as fest, exam registration, etc it's total upto 136000 . Registration fees is 3000 , PTU examination is 3000 , fest fee is 900 . For ST SC it's some fees is deducted around 20000 . BTech CSE /AIML/AIDS have the same structure.
Campus Life
There are many technical festivals such zesto festa , techamigo , etc . There was one college fest every semester called parivartan. We have smart classrooms and labs very well. In sports we have many sports competition PTU compitition. Techamigo club , virasat club , DSW club and many more clubs .
Hostel Facilities
There are 3 types of room 2 seater ,3 seater, 4 seater . 2 and 3 seater have AC option also . In a room you will get your own cupboard study table chair and bed only . There is laundary twice a week , limit of 7 clothes. At starting there were good food but after a month it became low quality. Menu change every week . I am in 3 seater non AC it cost me around 130000 per year .
Admission
I have written COMEDK exam and I was getting admission in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering , course of BTech CSE. I chose this college because my own big brother had studied here and I also wanted to be in Chandigarh. For our college eligibility is :- 75< cse 75> very other course.
Faculty
Ratio of student and faculty is 15:1. Yes faculties are approachable and have good terms with students. Anu Thinda is my pps lecture she is the best on very polite, very sweet and good teaching skills. There are total 3 exam including final sem . MST 1 and MST 2 are the mid semester exams , it's paper level is moderate. Mostly students pass in exam but some don't like less than 15% .
Night Life
There are total 7 hostels were 5 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. Every hostel has its own gym . There are many cafeteria in campus with affordable cost. Hostel timming for girls is 7:30pm and boys 10:00pm .
