Remarks
The college is really good and can achieve a lot more if the priority is given to industry based syllabus and an open space for more real time and future applicable study and concepts. This can be done by including technical workshops based on future Scopes and a more equipped syllabus.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good enough. But it is not that much up to the industrial standards which the NITs and IITs have. The curriculum needs a update so that the students can withstand at the best level.The curriculum covers all the basic subject related to the branches and has all the bases covered.
Placement Experience
Placements are good for CS and IT branch. The placements for the core branches like mechanical civil and electrical are average.The packages offered range from 3.5 lacs to 6.5 lacks. This year the placement has been quite good the average package has gone up to 3.75 lacs and topmost has been 20 lacs( Amazon). Cognizant,Infosys,TCS,NeML,Ninja,Thermax,Nvidia are the main recruiters.
College Events
There are three annual events which are celebrated grandly. The first is the alumni meet and the second is the college technical festival and third is Zenith the annual gathering of the college. The events are totally conducted by the students themselves under the guidance of faculties.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is expensive compared to other colleges. At my time fees were 47840/- for OBC and 53840/- for OPEN. Now it has increased even more. The fee structure don't specify the name of Government institution.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is scholarship for OBC ,VJ,NT and SC students. For general category students there is EBC and PTC. The scholarship is provided by government of india. OBC students get almost 23000/- as scholarship. But the amount is disbursed in the next year from which the application was made.
Campus Life
There are lot of extracurricular activities done. The college has Art club,Dance club,Music club. The respective clubs conduct their activities throughout the academic year.There is avishkar cell through which young innovators are motivated.
Hostel Facilities
No, I have not opted for hostel. I am a localite. The hostel facility is quite good and provides good value for money. There are three boys hostel and one girls hostel. Two hostels are under construction. The mess is compulsory for hostel students. The rent is almost negligible.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes ,the alumnus and the senior students are really helpful and provide a lot of help during the college days. They help in the academics and other issues. The alumnus are also good. They remain in contact even after being pass out of the college.
Admission
I cleared JEE in 2015 with 104 marks and HSC board exams with 86.31%. During 2015 there was composite percentile on the basis of which the merit list was declared. the composite consist of 50% of JEE and 50% of board. I had a composite of 93.48. I got admission in first round. There are three rounds in total and then the counselling and institute wise counselling are also there. From 2016 only CET marks are considered for the admissions.
Faculty
Faculties are well equipped with knowledge.I am talking about the permanent faculties. They are well versed in their respective subjects and their teaching is good. Yes there are some points need to be improved.
