I liked the course as I wanted to study finance & business after my graduation.
The overall classroom experience was good.
I got placed with my efforts & knowledge after completion of the course.

There was no campus placement as committed by the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure was good as their were depth knowledge on finance, Business management & accounts. The curriculum wasn't that great if I compare in real life scenario. The curriculum should include real market & futuristic approach. Exam timings were good.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid 75,000/- per annum for this course. Its a 2 Years course. Hence Ipaid 1,50,000/- in total as course fees. Even My batchmates also paid same fees. But theree was some reservation quota for SC & St students. They got scholarships from the Government.

Campus Life

There were only one annual function held in the month of November or December. The range of books in the library was not upto the mark. its average. The facilities were below par. There were no sports or extracurricular activities.

Admission

I didn't apply in any other college. The admission process was based on merit & a small counselling session regarding the approach & thoughts of the students. The eligibilty for this course was Graduation in any stream.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is 1:10. One of my favourite teacher was Mr. Chittaranjan Dash. All teachers were good. 4 semestars were there & all students got passed in my batch but they were some students who got backlogs in 2nd sem.

Night Life

There were only one library & a sports ground. I was commuting from home. But there was a hostel. The locality area was quite safe as it was located in a nice neighborhood & even nigt patrolling by Police happens on regular basis.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

There is on campus placement in this college. And also internship program for the students. Highest package till is 12 LPA and lowest package is 1.8 LPA . average package is 3-4 LPA . percentage of students getting placed is 70 % .

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

Remarks:

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.
