Exam structure is twice a year. Course belongs to the science stream non medical branch. Subjects are chemistry mathematics and physics. In addition there is a language subject i.e. English in 1st year and hindi in 2nd year.

College provides special facilities to sports persons of various games like cricket, basketball, badminton, football, volleyball, boxing, yoga, archery, cycling, table tennis and judo etc. College has its own 400 meter Athletic Track, Hockey Ground, Basket Ball and Badminton Court. Keeping in mind the traditions of D.A.V. Institutions the college not only encourages the sports persons but also gives cash prizes and special scholarships to motivate the students.

Feasible Quality in teaching must be built through a ‘Pull Mechanism’ as merely providing a ‘Push Mechanism’ we cannot ensure quality. Thus it would be very critical for the education system to foster an environment that builds a pull to enforce quality in education rather than a push.

The Alumni Association of the college with Prof. Yashu Rai, Department of English as its Dean and Sh. Bhisham Pitamah, D. E. T. C. as its president has been active in a number of ways. The Association seeks to create a bridge between past and the present so as to pave a way for future. It provides platform where the old students of the college share their experiences with the present generation of students and offer their valuable help to the later.

The college provides faculty for library and hostel.The College Library is situated in the heart of the college campus. Consisting of three beautifully built reading halls, it provides comfortable seating for 250 students.A feel of home, a feeling of home-well, this is what Dayanand College Hostel give to its inmates. The three hostels sprawling over acres of green space, surrounded by tall, caring trees are at walkable distance from the college campus. A bit of morning walk readies you for the studies and a bit of afternoon walk back to the hostel whets up your appetite for healthy, rich food.
