Remarks
National institute of technology Karnataka surthkal has its own private beach. We can go to beach and chill ourselves. We have a big campus that is on both sides of the national highway no66. We have good infrastructure of hostels and departments.
Course Curriculum Overview
Courses offered was good actually. In 2022 batch they have like two degrees offered by college major degree and minor degree.like from second year we have to shift to our departments most of the departments having practical(projects) from second year in course curriculum.
Placement Experience
Like other NIT's and IIT's higher packages are offered in on campus placements. This year the higher package offered by DE SHAW (40lakhs). in circuit branches(IT/CS/EEE/ECE) most of the students got good placement. Our college has a placement percentage of 90 overall In IT and CS 96 %+ people got placement.
College Events
One major technical event that celebrated in our college is Engineer that is famous in nearby colleges. The students come from nearby colleges to participate in technical events that happens diring engi fest. Other is Incident that happens in even semester is a fun event(not technical)
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible fee structure like for b.tech Fee is around 65500 for tution and 26000 for mess+hostel. There are various mess so you can choose any of them. College also provides schoolships.and loan facility is also there
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships is provided to those students whose parents income is under some 5 lakh per annum. We have to submit our income certificate and a application to get discount in fee and scholarships. That is in academic section.
Campus Life
Extracellular activities are also very good at national institute of technology Karnataka surthkal. We have cricket ground that is too big. We have one football ground. We have a new sports complex with indoor games like table tenis.We have carroms in hostels to relive stress.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes national institute of technology Karnataka has a good alumni network that is helpful to get reference for a company's job. They are very helpful for career help. Most of the alumni works for well established companies.
Admission
Jee main then you have to fill your college and branch whatever you want then if you got selected then. You have 6 rounds of counselling after that which college you got that will be final. You can change freeze your counselling in any round it will just give you which college you got first.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are actually good and supportive in nature. They actually teach practically more then thoery. If we have any difficulty in our project we are facing then they help us. Some of them are good mentors
