FRESHER EXPERIENCE AT NITJ

I liked Engineering that is why pursued this course and this college was also not far aeay from my home The curicullum takes in account multiple possibilities for all students and prepares them accordingly for real life problems I would suggest that specific students be taught specific subjects in which they are interested about the frequency of exams is very high as we only got a month in between mid and end sems in which nearly all the syllabus had to be covered so it was very difficult to learn all those things.

The internship is compulsory for students studying in the 4th , 6th as well as optional for 7th and 8th semester students Various companies come to hire students and many students are also placed in the campus itself.

Students become eligible for placement about at 6th semester's end . Many companies visit the campus for hiring majorly the computer and IT department The highest package for the previuos year was 52 LPA offered to 2 students , one from Computer Science and the other one from Information Technology branch Most of the students got placed as the placement percentage was above 90 for cse

I am a heneral category student and have worked hard to get admission in this college and found it very affordable. The fees per semester is about 125000 INR ,including mess and hostel fees The tuition fee is about 93000 and hostel fee is 25000 while the remaining 10000 is security fee.

I had a very good as well as refreshing experience with the social life at NIT JALANDHAR as they prirotise the social life with studying as very passionately As it is a NIT , students from all arouynd india come here to study thus it has a very complex and doverse culture So they hold events for all the students typically in every month

The hostel provided us with one bed , ceiling fans , one almeirah each . The meals are provided 3 times a day along with snacks in the evening THE REGISTRATION PROCESS is very simple as it is all done online

I applied for this college along with IIT's and some other NIT's as I had a compably good JEE rank This college is near my house as well had a track record of good placements and i wanted to pursue computer related studies thus this colege The admission process for this colege is the standard process of admission through clearing JEE Mains and then through JOSAA

The faculty to student ratio is about 1:20 The faculty student relationship is quite good They are quite approachable except some I liked my Maths and MPP faculty the most as they taught with heart I disliked my Python faculty as she was rude and was just not ready to listen to student's arguments There are 3 quizzes for each course and a mid sem and an end sem ehich make up for 100 marks each.

My college is situated on the highway so it is quite far away from the city The IN time for hostel in starting was only 6 pm while our classes ended at 5:30 so we didn't have much time to spend outside so can't say much about the night life
