Course Curriculum Overview
The college follows Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Curriculum and honestly this educational board is outdated. As in the first though we are supposed to learn basics of all engineering branches, even though these basics must be somewhat related to your branch but still it compels us to learn unrelated topics.
Placement Experience
The placements average out around 5-6 lakhs per annum, however it has been seeing a dip in these years due to layoffs and tough recruitment. Also, the skillful students are getting packages of around 10-12 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
I opted for this college based on its cheap fee structure as it is a government college and also it is well known for companies for placements. Also, this college is around 70-75+ years old, so the infrastructure facilities are poor and also the faculties are experienced but the culture is a bit indisciplined.
Campus Life
The campus life, extra curricular activities, and all those fests,and expos,and events all of it is nil. Yes, nil. There are no such events and exhibition.Little side quests type events are hosted by the students themselves from various clubs.
Hostel Facilities
The new hostel block is way way way better than the old blocks, as the older ones are way worse. No proper washrooms,bathrooms,basin nothing and also the plasters are worn off and leakages every floor, the new block is better comparatively.
Admission
I chose this college as I was a dropper, and unfortunately I couldn't get into IITs or NITs even though after qualifying entrances, and I did not want to opt for any private colleges as if I had to go for private then the drop year would make no sense, so atleast I opted for a government college and have a negligible fee structure.
Faculty
It depends on branches you opt for, like majorly considering core branches like mechanical,civil, computer,electrical the students intake every year is 150, however specific branches have an intake of 75 students. Further batches are made in division and subdivisions for easier student teacher interaction.
Night Life
Nightlife is great if you like to wander arounf at night, it is completely safe and peaceful.I personally like it because I do not like to be bothered by rules and regulations all the time and there no such strict rules .
