College is situated in a place away from city,but when you come inside it's so beautiful and once you get mingle with students at the end of 4year,one will not want to leave this place.

Course curriculum is well defined and as required in Marine industry,with 6 subjects in each semester and 3-4 practicals,each subject is of 100 marks in which 30 marks is internal and 70marks is external,out of 70,passing marks is 35 in external.30marks distribution consists of 4 class test and 10marks for attendance and discipline.

Placement in college starts from second year only, big giants like MAERSK and NYK ship management,TEEKAY company give placement in second year. Placement here is 90% and above and all are placed in top notch companies as only foriegn company come here like Scorpio,Chevron,Stena, MOL,Wilhelmson and many more,so cadets have many option and opportunity to get placed.

College in itself equipped with all kind of facilities and what add more to it for attraction are the events that take place in TMI,that is the cultural fest "Horizon". The tech fest "TransTech" which is largest tech fest in any of the Marine college.

If a student is opting for B.Sc in nautical science which is a three year course whose fee structure for 3 years is 14lacs. If a student is taking admission for B.Tech Marine Engineering which is a four year course whose fee structure is 18lacs.First semester fee is 2.98. Fee includes all mess,Hostel,Laundry,Uniforms,Books,Stationary charges.

If one want to take loan for studies,he/she has to submit the prospectus issued by the college and the demand letter.Loan that can be given by the bank without collateral is 7.5 lacs and with collateral depends upon the mortgage.

College is having Asia's largest workshop having 43 lathe machines,40 welding bay, Fitting section,Plumbing Section, carpentry section.Workshop is also having a Boiler for power generation that cadet will get to see on ship.There is a Ship-in campus which is having all the engine and machineries as there is in the ship so that a cadet can get the idea of how it works. In college there are a lot of opportunity one can get like paper presentation in China,UK,Mumbai,Chennai.Group discussion,competing with other college in naughtica which is a inter college cultural fest.

Hostel fee is 75000 for the semester,but it is equipped with full fledged facilities like 4 sqash court,3 gym,4 lawn tennis court,Swimming Pool,4 badminton court,chess,table tennis,Football ground,cricket net. And food here is much far better than you will get in any other college.

After clearing IMUCET,one who want to take the admission in Tolani Maritime institute has to undergo test taken by institute followed by a interview. Test consists of 60 questions,30 of physics and 30 of mathematics. After test interview is taken by faculties.

College faculties here are of both the field that is Marine field like Captains,chief engineer who had sailed in top notch companies and non Marine faculties who have a well defined experience anyone can easily approach them they are open for all,no such timing, available in college till 4.40 evening.
