Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is designed in such a way, which can give a complete knowledge of the field or the stream in the entire tenure of the course, which completely prepares you for the real-world application of the same. Subjects like : Business laws Human resourse management Income tax Business economics Digital Marketing, etc Drove me to choose B.Com course for my higher studies. The course curriculum and frequency of examinations are justifiable and good.

4

Our college does not separately provides internships, rather it gives us information about the prevailing internships outside which may prove beneficial for us. Campus Life

5

There are numerous fests organised in the college throughout the year constituting various annual event, cultural events, social events, sports meets, etc. And the Annual fest of Venky is NEXUS which is literally a breathtaking fest with lots of fun and joy. Recently in NEXUS'24, There was a concert of glorified famous singer Mohit Chauhan in the college. Our library has now been renovated with added books and readables an a lavish reading area to sit comfortably and study for hours. The college is equipped with ICT computer labs and projector enabled classrooms which gives support to digital learning. The sports facilities are top notch with every single arrangement for the same which is completely expected with a college with notable alumni as Rishabh Pant (Indian Cricket Team).

Admission

I gave CUET examination to get into University of Delhi as it was my first priority. Other than that, to be on a safer side, i wrote the entrance examination of National Post Graduate College, Lucknow for B.Com course. I got selected in the National PG college entrance exam with overall 88th rank among more than 3500 candidates, but i chose to leave my seat there and wait for my CUET result as i was so confident about the same. The result came and i got 719/800 marks. The admission process was to give CUET exam and register yourself to CSAS portal and give your list of preference of college in the university of Delhi in that portal. Sri Venkateswara college B.Com was on my 4th preference after SRCC B.Com hons. Hindu college B. Com hons. Hansraj B. Com hons. And i got selected in the very first round of csas allocation in the SVC college and i locked my seat here.

Faculty

4

The faculty in the college are sufficient as for every subject, there are 2 teachers among which the entire syllabus of the subject is divided equally which facilitates effective course completion. With recent hirings in the college, the number of South Indian teachers have been increased with a boom, which serves as a great communication barriers between the students and teachers. The faculties which i like the most are: 1.Mr. Manish Dubey sir, who taught us Business Laws in semester 1.He is a true Gem any student can ask for. His concept clarity as well as helping nature makes him the best among the best teachers in my list. However he is no more teaching in this college and has shifted to Swami Shraddhanand College now, but he will always recide in every Venkytes' heart. 2. Dr. Arpita Kaul ma'am. She taught us Human Resource Management in semester 3, and what a teacher she is, totally a pile of insightful knowledge. She analyses the students very well and help them to grow and provide them various opportunities for career development. She herself is an author and has published many books on human resourses and related works. There is no teacher whom i dislike, every teacher is special in themselves and i resoect every of them. The exam pattern consist of: 2 Continuous Assesments 1 Internal Assesment 1 Practical Assesment and Viva 1 Final end semester University examination The course curriculum is very relevant and interesting opening ways to foster a good career growth to the students with a moderate level. Examination which can easily be passed with understanding concepts.

Interview Experience

5

There were not any GD or Interview for the admission. There was only a Computer Based Test(CBT) exam of CUET which have to be cleared to get qualified to get admission in the university of Delhi and various other esteemed universities

Night Life

5

The college has an open exercise area with various tolls installed near to the cricket ground which can be used to exercise your body. It has a wide canteen with open and under-shed sitting area covering a large area and the canteen offers various north indian, south indian, chinese, italian, etc cuisines with average cost of ?45 per item. The library has now became a huge center of attraction for the students after the renovation and has each and every book on the subject you look for. The timing of all these are matched with the timing of the college i.e, from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. The timing of library tends to stay from 8 am to 9pm during examinations to allow students study easily in peaceful environment. There are various hangout places in the college like the Rock Garden, auditorium, canteen, romeo lane, botanical garden, etc and also the college is in Satya niketan which is filled with uncountable food junctions like pizza hut, subway, Lapino'z pizza, Burger singh, etc and cafe

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
