Course Curriculum Overview

Needs change to open textbook exams. Syllabus is pretty hard.three series exams for each subject in a semester. 3hr end semester exams. Two parts of questions one must answer type questions and one for questions with OR choices. Latter carry higher marks.

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty good. from Core companies are less but mass placements are very high and consistent. I don't know of the internship opportunities in the college. What i heard is disappointing. This.

Disha-cultural events participated by first year students department wise. Drishti-technical event participated by engineering students all over the state.workshops.lectures.seminars.conclave and games

Campus Life

FABLABS ,CNC MACHINE LAB, IC LAB,FOOTBALL, CRICKET, TENNIS,VOLLEYBALL ,are great everyday practices and college team have won many intercollegiate Leagues.labs are not well made use by the students though.

Hostel Facilities

I didn't opt. Pretty good infrastructures. High rent. Owner is a bourgeois.no other facilities for students in other hostels. College hostel facilities are unknown.

Alumni/Alumna

Very helpful in programs in the colleges. For organising lectures and other cultural events.also in placements they're helping fellow students. From what i've heard. Very helpful. A vast community of students all over the world.

Admission

Two set of exam 1. Physics and chemistry 2.mathematics Each for 480 marks. 120 questions. Comparatively easy exam Both test on same day Rank list is published based on the 12th standard physics chemistry and mathematics marks and scores in the test. More weightage to the 12 th standard marks.

Most are Much boring and less interactive. A few supports engineering students technical and cultural activities. Needs upgradation in knowledge level and updates in real world.classes lacks real world industrial exposure.

Towards the fourth year, students become eligible for campus placement. There are no companies visited . The average package is above 10000for per month. Almost 45% of students get placements. After getting the degree I want to work as a staff nurse.

Life at CET

This college is the best government college in Kerala. It has been consistently first in KIRF ranking. It has very cheap fees. The campus is very beautiful and spacious (about 200 acres). My best choice of colleges very IITs and NITs like most people. I couldn't crack JEE. I only applied to this college because I had very high ranking in KEAM exam and was confident of acceptance. KEAM exam is a lot easier to crack than JEE. It has basic higher secondary school syllabus. To get my course you would have to be around 700th rank. To get other courses in my college you can have rank as low as 20k....Read More
