Course Curriculum Overview

There is no entrance exam in the college. Exam structure is controlled by Calcutta University i.e. semester wise exam. Our College offers two courses one is commerce and another one is arts. There is very poor facility in the college.

College Events

Our College celebrate different different events. Annually our College participates in various kind of sports game such as cricket, football etc. Also a concert is conducted on an annual basis in which celebrities come and perform.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is feasible. Within twenty thousand you can complete your college. 1st year of college i was charged around 8 thousand (6k for admission + 2k for other charges i.e. examination, maintenance etc) and same till last year of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our College does not provide any loan facility or scholarship as far as i know. And i have also not availed any such kind of services. So if you are thinking about the same so this kind of facilities are not provided by our College.

Campus Life

Our College conduct some basic extracurricular activities where many students participate. In our College there is also A jim and common room for boys as well as girls where we played carrom,chess ludo, cricket etc.

Admission

After clearing my 12th exam i filled admission form and through merit list i got admission in this college. Admission process is very simple when your name is in merit list just visit college and pay admission fees and now you got admission.

Faculty

Our College faculties are good. They take their classes regularly and also guide and motivate us. Our College principal helps us in understanding different different things. They give knowledge about what is going on in corporate world.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

I decided to pursue b.com because i have strong interest in accounting and finance .The syallus of this course is good and covers important subject like taxation and cost accouing snd business law.it would be great if the college added more computer based traing .

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

The aspects of the curriculum which really influenced my decision was building the foundation of accounting to holding expertise, which was aligned with my goal of studying CA. The curriculum used to be upto date which give us a real time exposure. The exam used to take place in every 3 months.

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.
