Every college has positive and negative remarks. The negative remarks about our college are that it's a bit overcrowded. But if you look from a positive angle our college provides education to many people across India.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good. We have courses on different new technologies like machine learning, data mining, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, etc. Ours is project-based learning that means you have to do a project for some courses in a semester
Placement Experience
Vellore Institute of Technology is famous for its placements. Many multi-national companies and startups visit our campus for recruitment. Even the placement record is above 85% as the other people tend to pursue higher studies
College Events
We have two major fests in our college. One is in Fall-Sem and the other is in Winter-Sem. We have a technical fest in Fall-Sem and a cultural Fest in Winter-Sem. The cultural fest is known as Rivera and is one of the major fests in India
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible if you get a seat in the first quota. But after that, the fees increase exponentially if you get a seat in the second or third quota. The hostel is getting somewhat expensive recently but you have various options in the hostel to opt for if the cost is your concern. You have Ac hostels too which are a little bit expensive
Fees and Financial Aid
Actually, the scholarship is awarded to the first 100 ranks students. After that, you don’t have any scholarships. Even the state first rankers get a free seat in the college. Recently a program is launched for economically weaker sections for rural students
Campus Life
There are many labs. You can find many basketball courts, badminton courts and football grounds, etc. we also have a tennis ground. There is also a billiards section. You also have a gymnasium. There are many sports events that take place.
Alumni/Alumna
You can find many students of Vellore Institute of Technology in many multinational companies. The senior-junior relationship is somewhat very less. But once you can fund alumni in LinkedIn they will actually help you a lot
Admission
I have prepared for the Vellore Institute of Technology exam day and night. I have written the Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Exam and secured a rank below 12k i.e around 11k. I also got a scholarship. You can write the exam after you have completed your 12th class
Faculty
The faculty are skilled and quite experienced. Every teacher has cleared the GATE exam and completed M.Tech in a well-known university. Many of them are Ph.D. holders. The Research trend is also quite good at our university.
