A Brief Overview on SRM

The curriculum that I have chosen is Automation and Robotics. i chose this course as the current advancement of technology is revolving around robots and AI. The courses that are thought are well enough for preparing us for real-world applications for academic pursuits and for building projects. The only improvement in the curriculum is to teach courses in revelance to modern technology and have practical knowledge of it also with respect to robotics and AI. 3 cycle tests are conducted in between where 2 cycle tests are based upon the chapters taught while the third one is project or presentation based. At the end an semester exam will be conducted.

Companies like Wipro, Infosys, TCS, HCL and many more provide internship opportunities. As of now we received many internship opportunity now. Stipped ranges from 10 to 15k. Projects are also given during the internship which help in improving the concepts studied during our class and getting practical knowledge attained from it. So, it also helps in strengthening our concepts and gaining more interests towards the subject

From 6-7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, HCL, IBM, TCS and many more come for recruitment. More details regarding no. of offers along with packages offered can be seen on the website itself. As of now in 2024, 5,546+ offers were made with an avaerage salary of 7.19 LPA. The highest package is 52 LPA in 2024 while in 2023 it was 57 LPA. Most of the students opt for higher studies, some sit for placements, and few become freelancers. My plans after the degree is to get a job as of now.

First of all, my tuition fees is about 5 lakh per year, alltogether 20 lakhs. There is no extra fees like lab fees and development fees as both of them are included in the tuition fee. I don't remember regarding the caution deposit, sorry for that. Other courses will have tuition fees higher or lower than me. SRM also provides scholarships too, i just have the names of few which SRM provides 1) Founder's Scholarship 2) SRM merit scholarship 3) Socio-Economic scholarship 4) Unnat Bharat Abhiyan 5) Defense scholarship 6) Performance based scholarship 7) ALumni Scholarship

Cultural fests like Milan, Jhalk, Shuru and tech fest like Aarush are held every year captivating the student's life to the fullest. The books and jounals in the library are well diverse in all fields let it be programming, electroincs, mechanics etc. Most of the classrooms are air conditioned and eqipped with smart boards. SRM provides ground for all kinds of sprts activities let it be cricket, swimming, badminton, basketball etc. Many clubs are there in SRM for engaging students depending upon the their hobbies. Student portal is also available for tracking fee payment, hostel booking, tuition fees and also grades of their semester

Hostles rooms are quite good in SRM. You will be privided with a cot, an almirah, a studying table and other facilities such as AC and washroom attached(both of these or any one can be found attached as per the hostel you selected). In a room 2-5 people can be accomodated based on upon the room you chose. The food provided in he mess is good enough but you will be obviously bored by the same meals getting repeated week after week. Hostel registration can be done through the website itself or it can be selected through offline mode through. If you want to stay in PG or in flats plenty of options are available outside the campus. The locality I will say is mostly depending upon the PG or flat you selected. Do take review from the people overthere and decide carefully.

I applied for many colleges like VIT, Manipal, KIIT etc. i got confirmation calls from all these colleges but still chose SRM mostly by the reviews taken from my family members whom have already studied there and also basis of availability of campuses and course. To get into SRM you need to have a minimum of 60% aggregate in 10+2 exams with Maths and Physics as compulsory with other specific subjects listed in the webiste based upon the couse you undertake. SRMJEE needs to be undertaken who want to pursue B.Tech and M.Tech while NATA for B.Arch students. You will require to attain a qualifying rank for the course you want to undertake. For me the overall admission process was good, the only thing you need to keep in mind is that to check into SRM site frequently to know whether you have qualified or not

The info is based on my department EIE. i am in a class of 32 students. Every subject has its own faculty, sometimes a faculty can handle two subjects at a time. Each faculty will be assigned as a faculty advisor for a particular class. All of the faculties are student friendly making easier for us as students to clarify doubts. Even if we are stuck in projects they don't hesitate to help us out. There are 3 exams taken before the semester exams. 2 exams are based on the chapters taught while the the third one is project or presentation based. Each of these tests carries 10-15 marks for the subject total. in between some assignments are given for tallying the store of internlas to 60. The semester exam tolls for the remaining 40 marks, making the mark count of a subject to 100 marks.The exam difficulty is easy to medium and sometimes it may be hard, but it's easy tot crack them The courses for the curricilum are somewhat relevant that is going on as per the new technologies coming. Most of the students pass the examination, and even if you fail, a reattemp is given to the particular studnet and a date will be provided particularly.

There are open gyms made inside the hostel premises surrounded with trees giving it a nice and good morning vibes. There are many cafeterias in and around he hostel premisies. Most of the shops especially Java gets closed around 7pm. Hostels close by 9 pm. You can walk with your friends around the campus or you can spend the evening at Tech park steps and have a great time there.
