Course Curriculum Overview

Diploma in nautical science leads to obtain BSc degree by DG shipping. It has three phases to obtain a BSc degree one year DNS pre-sea training. after completing DNS you have to go 18 months on the ship for training which is also known as the semester 3,4, and 5.after this you have to clear second mate exam to consider as semester 6 and DG shipping give you BSC certificate.

Placement Experience

There is no way to obtain a job by the college. but you can be selected in campus selection by DG approved shipping companies or you have to pay separately 2 to 3 lack for joining the ship

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for interview after the 5th Semester 3rd year, There is 100+ company visited and made nearly 700+ offers. Titan and Musashi and Sigma and Sanmark and Hyundai and Caterpillar and Tata and Delta Electronics, etc. There is 90% of students are placed till now other are going to place soon and others are higher studies. My plan after getting a Degree is Job and Partime of Study.

Pros and cons of IMU Chennai

Actually I wanted to go to ts chanakya navu Mumbai campus it's better than imu chennai for bsc but that time I didn't know how to apply for counselling and I put imu chennai over ts chanakya on my preference list so I got imu chennai.I gave the exam in 2023 that time my rank was 1431 ews category so I would've easily got ts chanakya in first list but I thought chennai is the head quarters so it must be better.For being eligible for imu colleges you must have a score of 60% avg in pcm in 12th and. 70% in English in 10th and 12th .You must clear IMU-CET exam and after that apply for counseling process . After that if you are medically fit just go to the college verify your passport and other documents and there you go....!!!...Read More
