Positive: freedom, flexibility, location, any time you can leave, unlike others college. daily expense, some teachers very helpful. Negative: Placement, Faculty, Labs, Sports Facility, Common Room, Canteen
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was new at that time. It's Applied electronics and instrumentation. As per name it don't have tilt on electronics but in electrical part. The exam is universal exam and conducted by WBUT, with question repeating every year.
Placement Experience
The placement and Job opportunities was good when we joined the college, but when we are in 3rd year, our seniors did not find out any jobs, due to lack placement and on-campus recruitment. Even it was worst when we are in 4th year and only 20-30% was placed. No intern-ship provided.
College Events
1. Freshers function on the celebration of new recruitment. 2. College function in every winter and famous artist and our college band perform. 3. Game events organised by college students. In this list Intra college Football, Cricket, Counter Strike, Robot War, FIFA etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
When we joined the fee was actually very low compare to other private colleges. It was 27k tution fees for a year. But after 1st year they revised it and make it around 50k for one year. It's very expensive now.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college does not provide any scholarship or loan. but the faculty was very helpful at my time. Anyone who have very low family income can apply for govt. scholarship, which exempted all tuition fees to half or full based on family income only.
Campus Life
Labs was disgusting, size was very small when we joined. But later it shifted to new building and then only it's more spacious. All labs are not available, specially those related to core subjects. And we did not get any lab facility like Process control, instrumentation lab etc. But it was build later after we moved out. Our college don't have any sports ground or facility.
Alumni/Alumna
Moderate on this, some senior and alumni help us and some have ego problem. Our alumni network also not strong, we don't have any dedicated network for them. Maximum people are out of touch after college.
Admission
Recruitment procedure is based through WBJEE ranking. Every one need to come at pre-scribe date for off-line counselling. I enter the counselling at Saltlake Stadium and I need to fill my name to empty seat in college when they called me.
Faculty
Our course was new when we joined and we don't have any faculty or lab. In 1st year we were taught by others faculty teachers as 1st year have same courses for all. But from 2nd year, we are in trouble as we don't have any faculty and lab specific to us. Later we got it at last year, when it's irrelevant.
