What Students Say

Likes

It's a all girls college, so the safety is quite good
Infrastructure is good , there are water coolers in every corner
Classroom is big and has desks and fan .

Dislikes

Faculty is not that good , they teach is Hindi and doesn't explain everything
They don't take exams on time and wasted my one year as we are in the third year and they have taken only 3 semesters
There are no fest in college and the classes are quite boring

Course Curriculum Overview

Psychology honours is a really nice field to study , the curriculum is quite nice. But the college doesn't Focuses on practical knowledge And there are no internships or jobs offered after completing this course from this college

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship scheme , the few is very affordable . It's around 1000-1500 per semester . For sc/st there is some fee waiver. For general category the fee is same . In an year they charge for examination fee , semester fee etc.

Campus Life

The college has no fest at all. No social groups are there in the college. Only NCC program is there But the seats are limited. Sometimes they do organize teachers day and Saraswati Puja but that's it . Nothing more than that.

Admission

I only applied to this college as this is near my house and I thought this college will complete the course on time , But in the duration of three years they have only taken 3 semesters which is the biggest red flag

Faculty

Faculty is approachable but after you ask same question few times they just ignore you and doesn't answer all the questions. Psychology faculty is good , Teacher is really nice and explains everything . The staff is not approachable

Interview Experience

No there was no group discussion, interview or written test for the admission. The college takes direct admissions for most of it's programs. You need to fill the form and wait for the merit list . They release the merit list on the basis of 12th marks

Night Life

There is no gym in college. Cafeteria in college is good they serve good breakfast, price is affordable. There is no hostel In college. So there is no nightlife . The college starts from 9 am and runs till 5 pm

The placement oppourtunity is very low as only rare companies visits our college and tgey select only few students and gives tgem the opportunity to work with them due to which maximum students faces employment difficulty. The rate of placement is only upto 20-30% .

I has a vision to study English from the very beginning. I wanted to study English since i was good at English and also the most important thing was me being an isce student upto class 12 which inculcated a strong English base in me English as a subject is very vast. As the world is heading towards modernisation English has become a very important thing. Gossner college has good English professors and also i heard a lot from most of my seniors that gossner college has best English faculty. The frequency of exam is 2 exams per semester where the portion tought in the syllabus is asked and it's not very easy and not very tough too

A glimpse of my college life.

I preferred this college out of all the other colleges because whatever subject which I was opting for was best taught here. Not only that, all the other colleges stand no where in comparison to it. The teacher here at least come to the campus and teach something. But in other colleges, the teachers don't even come. There's only a one percent chance of the teachers to conduct classes. There is no discipline and no proper way of maintaining the facilities. Other colleges of our area only focus on organising events rather than teacher. I did not face rejection from any of the colleges which I had applied to. But, found the current one a perfect match for my requirement. At first, in order to get an admission in the university, a student has to fill in a form online at the chancellor portal. Then after a month the college issues the provincial list. After which the student has to go to the department and submit the documents along the the admission form filled online. Next the student has to self-attest all the documents and submit in the office for a stamp, again all these approved documents are to be brought to the department for another approval.
