There are some positive aspects as well as negative aspects, positive is that you will find a extremely soothing residential campus with a lot many helpful people around you to help you out in 4 years of your college life. The negative aspect is that , faculties need to a be a bit more students friendly.

Course curriculum should be a bit more practical oriented and it should be revised. Many of the courses and it's structure has not been revised since 1990s. Especially in the field of computer science it should be revised regularly as the technologies are changing day by day and thus students should be made aware of it.

Placement opportunities are pretty good. There are many renowned company that visits the campus for campus placements. Most of the students are placed with good packages. Yes, many industries visit the campus to hire students as interns. I got a internship opportunity in a start up which provided me with a monthly compensation of 10,000 rupees. It was a great learning experience and it came very handy during my campus placement interview.

Instruo- Techno-Management fest of institute. Held annually. Experience a footfall of nearly 3000 engineering graduates from colleges across East India. REBECA- Annual cultural festival. Its in it 81st edition, which held this year. It's one of the oldest cultural festival that happens every year in college. Attended by nearly 15000 people. TEDx- Annual Ted talks. Into its 4th edition.

Feasible. But the government should lower the fees a bit as its a bit expensive for students coming from lower strata of the society. The government should increase its contribution and lower the burden on students.

The scholarship provided by the alumni association is extremely good. A lot many students are covered in this scheme. It covers all the aspects of college life as there are scholarships for sports, social service, singing, dancing, research works.

There is a national level football ground and a big cricket ground. A well maintained basket ball court. A semi-indoor badminton court. A big swimming pool. A gym and nearly everything to spend your time in campus.

Hostel infrastructure is average. But comparing it with the fees we pay to use it, it's awesome. The fees for hostel accommodation is under 4000 for whole year and in just 4000 rupees annually we get seperate rooms in our pre-final and final year. The accomodation is multi seater in 1st and 2nd year.

Alumni network is huge. It covers nearly every country of the world. With a legacy of over 150 years the presence of alumni in every corne of the world is precedented. Alumnis are pretty much connected to their alma-mater and they very much connected to develop the infrastructure and help the students and staffs when need arise.

Through JEE Mains rank, Where each branch is alloted through a centralised counseling conducted by Joint Seat allocation authority. Each branch has its own opening and closing ranks. Fifty percent of the seats are reserved for the students having domicile of West Bengal.

Some of the faculties are extremely proficient in their respective domains but some of them are bit old-schools. There is a need of faculty students interaction sessions. The approach of faculties should be a bit more training oriented rather than learning oriented.
