Remarks

I personally like the location/infrastructure/faculty nad many more and these are positive things of BDCET. To be frank, there are many positive/negative things are there in my mind but I think many of the negative things would have been solved. The college needs experience and that only can solve all the negative remarks.

Course Curriculum Overview

BDCET comes under BPUT. Course and Exam both are as of National standard.Syllabus is vast and provides students sufficient time to prepare for. At our time Exam was different from today's Examination pattern, so no comment on this.

Placement Experience

Before our last semester exam there were many placement opportunities for all branch students.Luckily I got placed in Vedanta Aluminum,Jharsuguda as a Engineer of JP infrastructure pvt ltd. Package was good and I learned many things their and that's a great thing.

College Events

1. Sports Events 2. Annual day 3. Industrial visits 4. Seminar 5. Project 1. Sports Events Sports events was one of the most awaited program in our college. There was a vast range of sports/games to participate. 2. Annual Day Annual Day celebration was my personal favorite day. The cultural programs was the main attraction. Industrial visit/seminar/project these were also exciting as well as informative in nature.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible. Students have to pay there annual fee in easy installment. There was scholarship program for SC/ST/OBC students. As of my knowledge the fee for all B.Tech programs are reduced.

Fees and Financial Aid

"Prerana" a state level scholarship was there for eligible SC/ST/OBC students. There were national level scholarship programs for differently abled students.One can opted for loan easily as many banks are providing hasselfree loan facility nowadays.

Campus Life

Labs, library, playground are there to serve both the students and faculties. At my time Labs were well maintained, neat and clean, equipped with modern technology and was attended by experienced faculties. Same thing was there for library and playground.

Alumni/Alumna

When it comes to Alumni network and senior students, I have mixed opinions. At my batch there was nothing special between senior and juniors. But Alumni Network of our batchmates wether they belongs to our branch or not, is still quite strong. We are connected via many social networks.

Admission

I appeared in OJEE. After qualifying OJEE, I gone through councelling process and got my admission. Counciling was easy and at the councelling spot representatives of my college were there to assist.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

In 5th semester the campus is coming to give you jobs. The company are vedant ltd, jsw, tata, reliance etc, outside companies also come. Maruti Suzuki. 60 to 70 per cent of students gate the job. I am also job junior engineer at Tata.

Courses and instructors are good, but don't expect a rocking campus life here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this college without planning as I couldn't get a desired seat in IIT. But I think it was for good. The course is a wonderful primer on the path of becoming a scientist. Compared to other colleges, IISER Berhampur has a quite good faculty: student ratio. But most of them are pretty good as people and as teachers. We manage to conduct all classes without fail. But I'd like to see an increase in the number so that the research area can be broadened. The faculty here have all completed their Ph.D. and postdoc and all have some good prior experience in research and teaching. I like most of the instructors that have taught me except for a few one or two. The exam schedule is given right with the calendar release of each semester before the semester starts. Sometimes there might be changes in the schedule but we are informed around 2-3 weeks earlier in that case. Exams are not hard to pass if you attend classes and study sincerely. Questions are not asked beyond the concepts being taught.

Life at BGU

Placement Experience:

After the summer internship. The college started giving campus placement training and during the month of September, students got placement already. Companies like TATA AIG, Collegedunia, Federal Bank, Delloite, ADP, TCI, SIS, HDFC AMC. IDFC BANK. Practo, ADVARISK, AXIS BANK. Property pistol came and took a maximum of students. The highest package was offered by international companies like property pistol with 22 lac CTC and average being 5lacs. Mostly the profile was on sales and marketing. only a few fintech companies could recruit students. Till now around 96% of students are placed in different domains and already started working. I am fortunate enough to get placed in the FEDERAL bank with 10lac CTC and as a fresher joining such a big company will be extremely grateful to the college and its placement team. They personally look after students drawback by the feedback they get from the recruitment teams and suggest where to improve and give a number of opportunities to seat for the company.

All are good,but only fooding quality is below the level.And also it does not have any playground available to play outdoors games.only it have not a playground but this college have good class room,WiFi campus, Computer centre,canteen, language lab and hostel are there.
