- Allumni network is very good and collage has rich culture heritage
- Faculty and collage adademic are also very nice.all clubs like music ,dance ,robotics ,ches, coding, robotics,etc are very active
- Placement of collage is very nice for department.people are getting placement in top companies like Google, Microsoft,etc every year
Dislikes
- Campus size is 123 acres and infrastructure is needed to be more developed.
- Sports facilities can be more better , there is only one court for volleyball and basketball.
Course Curriculum Overview
Circular is good but I think there is scope for updating course with new industry requirement. But collage clubs and societies fills that gap by providing us different workshop and resources. Also classroom can be more digitalized.
Internships Opportunities
Intership opportunity are good mainly from 2nd and 3rd year.top companies like Microsoft also prove great internship . because of it large allumni base people get support for there internship and placement.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible from 7th semester for placement.about 524 offers given by 144 companies in 2024 .these companies also include top MNCs like Google , Microsoft,etc. Highest on campus placement is of 56 lkh to 7 students by Microsoft.

Year wise fee for ug b tech student is Tuition fee:-125000 Exam fee : 2000 Infrastructure maintenance fee :5000 Student activity fee: 3000 Admission, registration.S.A few:1000 Student with family income less than 5 lkh get 2/3 fee waiver and with below 1 lkh get 100 % fee waiver also sc /st student get 100% fee waiver .
Campus Life
Technical fest of iiest shibpur is instruo held in month of January and largest cultural fest of iiest shibpur is Rebecca held lin month of April. Library has very large collection of books. Clubs and societies are also very active.classroom can be better if we compare them with many iits in terms of digitally updated
Admission
My rank was 2814 in ews category in jee mains 2024.i was getting cse in collages like nit patna,and braches like chemical , mechnical in top nits but I choose this collage because.of it's rich historical importance and attractive placement statistics. Admission is through jee mains for b tech student.
Faculty
Faculties are very and experienced nice . faculty student ratio is also very better as compare to other collages . curriculum is also not much strict. Exams are decent in deficulty. reserch opportunity is also good.
Interview Experience
Admission is done on the basic of jee mains rank for b tech and has same rule for other nit.no other test is taken for the admission for b tech students . I have not sure idea for other courses . M tech is on the basic of gate.no interview for entrance
Night Life
First year ug have some restrictions .maximum in time for first years goes to 10 pm but there is no in time limit for other year students and for seniors girls it is up to 12 pm.gym is well equipped.thereare 5 major canteen in college also each hostel hs it's own canteen.
