A good campus with wide range of books and knowledgable teachers provides the students to gain the skill performance in their field of interest. A campus with lots of tree to provide a peaceful atmosphere for students to get refreshed during college hours.
Course Curriculum Overview
Actually my course of stream is different from regular courses.It's an unique course which is offered by the government to students to learn about the wide opportunity of national security and the strategic management of Armed forces during conflicts. This stream has an wide range of curriculum covering all the aspects of war, defence journalism, defence economics, art of warfare, the defence organisation structure and a lot more.
Placement Experience
As of my stream of course is unique and we don't have a campus interview for my department.But am sure that the college management has a decent placement cell that gives wide opportunity through private companies. And am not sure about the stipend and all.
College Events
My college mainly focuses on the principles of Guru Nanak Dev ji. College management respects and does all the rituals to all the sikh guru's. The management also organises to celebrate the Tamil culture festival called Pongal every year without fail by the presence of all the students and staffs in the campus with traditional attire.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is feasible to afford as am in shift 1. The government aided programs is usually of feasible and that's quite a less burden for parents of middle class. The college collects fee for exams, and the college yearly fee
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college provides scholarship for the merit students whose attendance is above 85% and their mark percentage is of above 75%. And I haven't been availed of any scholarship for myself as am in general category.
Campus Life
The college sports teams always does a good performance in all the event. There are many players who are worth training in colege and getting placed in Indian teams. Our college alumini students are placed in Indian teams and the IPL tournaments.
Hostel Facilities
No I haven't opted for the hostel. I am a day scholar. But I have friends from hostel who are staying in. Those students college hostel fee is quite expensive but can be managed. And the college also provides a good quality of food for hostelers.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the alumini is of good opportunity to all the students. The alumini is in contact with all the staffs to provide an opportunity for the current passing out students. The seniors are very much friendly with all the juniors
Admission
Guru nanak college is an autonomous institution which provides UG,PG, & Research programs. Every year the mode of application for freshers is through online mode.The candidates who are willing to take this college for their higher studies has to apply online for the respective course they like. After the submission of online application the candidate has to wait for the call for from the college management for counseling.The students are given seats on purely merit base. The counseling ends with all the verification of certificates from the candidates.once the student gets the seat he/she is a student of GNC.
Faculty
They are doing good.They try to provide as much as a friendly campus to students with all the modern ammunities. The management tries to give every source of knowledge through college library, department staff and in every possible ways.
