My college journey

1. it is situated in 1400 acres 2. it is ranked as no. 1 agriculture college of India 3.whole the college is green this so many outsiders come in for morning and evening walk 4. there are so many security guards available there so almost no security risk. 5.you can go outside or come inside 24 hours without restrictions , it is applicable to both boys and girls. : a rare facility available in India

course curriculum revolves around dairy field, it includes dairy tech. , dairy engg., dairy che. , dairy microbiology , economics, extension , biotechnology etc. There is one mid term exam which can be happened at any time as agreed by teacher and students whicle there is semester end practical and theiry exam which is fixed by the examination coordinator.

There is 100 % placement. Job opportunities in both MNCs and locals like : Nestle,Tetrapak,GSK, Mother Dairy , ITC, Verka, Ananda Group etc. Yes my college provide internship for 6 months in Model Dairy Plant (in college premises itself )and then for 6 months in the above stated companies and in Heinz, danone, Dupont as well. I was placed in Nestle for 6 month in internship that was a fabulous practical experience of state of the technology with the stipend of 15000 per month.

Following events are celebrated in my college : 1. foundation programme for new joinees ( freshers) for 1 month where they are exposed to various extra curricular activities including Quiz , debates , extempore, dancing, singing, painting , arts and crafts etc. 2. Then there is one freshers party where all the freshers including B.Tech, Masters and PhD are introduced to all and they perform various activities. 3. blood donation camp is organised by Students council 4. Ganesh chaturthi Celebration by Students council. 5. Independence Day and Republic Day celebration 6. vasantotsava : intra university cultural n literary events 7. Reverie : inter university cultural and literary events 8.convocation and carnival 9. Alumni summit 10. intra university sports tournament etc.

fee is one amongthe lowest in the country for BTech For B Tech it is just 5500 rupees including hostel fee in odd semesters and 2300 rupees in even semesters. It includes insurance fee, examination fee, hostel fee etc. Besides this a caution money of 10000 rupees is deposited at the beginning of 1st semester which is refundable.

scholarship of 24000 pa for B tech., 7000 per month for Masters and 16000 per month for PhD is available. if someone do JRF or SRF then he get scholarship of 24000. in B. Tech scholarship is available to only those who are from other state.

all of them are one among the best. it has 2 auditorium the bigger one is one of the best of Haryana. there are so many labs , approximately 50 labs are there. there is one experimental dairy for practical classes. there is a big playground for sports.

there are total 7 hostels : 1 for B. Tech boys , 1 for Masters , 2 for PhD ,2 for girls and 1 is for international students. hostel infrastructure is also good. green environment with airy rooms. freshers got a big room that to be shared with 3 guys while final year students get single room for study purpose. there is one reading room and TV room for each hostel alongwith a mess. Mess food is also Good.

there is one alumni group of graduates , NDRI Graduates Association in which I am a member. they organise there event every year. seniors are very helpful they help in almost all the spheres of life.

One national level exam is conducted by ICAR for UG and PG course separately in summer months. Then qualified candidates are shown their rank not marks. Then there is a counseling done for all the agricultural colleges in Delhi and there one can choose NDRI Karnal ( its seat are filled up earliest ). If s/he is unable to get NDRI Karnal then can opt for 2nd round counseling which is usually happens in the college.

faculty are actually qualified scientists who are selected through ARS , central govt. class one officer they do research work and teach us also. there are 2 to 3 teachers usually for each course. some prefer projector based teaching while others prefer green board based.
