Course Curriculum Overview

4

I rate the course curriculum 7 our of 10 and i can teel you i give 7 for same degree they provide as regular college university of Delhi no difference in both regular and open college students and same syllabus but regular student have 6 days for study in a week we have 2 days only they need to improve their classes for students because we take tution for our exam.

Placement Experience

3

There were placements available in our School of Open Learning college but not so much. Mostly PWD students got all this and the package here was also very low. It used to be 1 to 2 lakh rupees per year. And we got nice company for placement like tata , godrej, hero etc. 3 out of 10 students only got placement. My plans after geting my degree is i applied for graduation level government job exams only.

Fees and Financial Aid

I started from my 1st year when i got addmission there are i paid 6800 for bcom (hons) and no scholarship for good marks etc. school of Open learning you got class only 2 days of week - Saturday and Sunday. And i talk about i take tuition from outside for exams and there are no exemption for sc/st students. Same i did for my 2nd and fee is 7000 year and 3rd year fee is 7500. Not good but i did my graduation from SOL university of Delhi. No financial aid will provide so only they want money from us. Staf is not good inside of college and when i go to being my degree on that time a Accident happened on main gate of college because too much students came for take their degree 2 -3 students injured on that day no management and they call same day around 50k students.

Campus Life

4

There is no activity in our college like there is no Indian competition or any annual function. But once our college had a Diamond Jubilee because our college had completed 60 years. Which was fine. But even in that, only some students were invited. In this college, you are given books to study which are related to your syllabus. But that is of no use to you. You will have to study for exams through tuitions. In this college all the students make their own WhatsApp group in which there are 200 to 250 students. Those in the group help each other by sending 10 years question paper for exams. In our college, if a student needs books, there is a library. You can borrow two books at a time from the library which remain with you for 30 days. You have to return them after 30 days. If you are late, you may also be fined by the college staff.

Admission

I took open college because I had to prepare for my government exam and I did not have that much time, so I used to go to Sal's college for 2 days and used to prepare for my government exam for the remaining 5 days.I did not take admission in a regular college because there is a lot of work to do there. The studies are also very hard and it takes a lot of time, due to which I am not able to prepare for my government exams. That is why I chose a SOL College get admission in this college, you do not need any marks or anything. But you have to give the CUET exam. After that you get admission. But there is no need for merit. Admission in this college is done through online mode.

Faculty

5

So our college best for both girl and boys and ratio are i think same but i think girls are extra as compared to boys. And exams they provide list of subjects when you get addmission and syllabus not too much tough exams but yes you need some study for exams and in 10 students i thought 3 students may fail because we have only 2 days for study in college Saturday and Sunday.

Night Life

4

The nightlife of our college is very good because there are many cafes and there are many tea stalls near our college which are very famous. We also go to the gym from the magistracy. There are many gyms there and it feels very good. There are many private hostels near our college which are separated for girls and boys. Food is available in the girls hostel and food is also available in the boys hostel.Night life is good near our college. But according to me, it is okay to be at night only till 12:00. After that, if any child roams around, then according to me it is not safe because anything can happen at night. There are many drug addicts around our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
