Likes
- There are too many clubs for interacting with others which will make a person confident in life.
- We interact with our seniors and alumnis frequently which is very helpful in academics as well as life.
- The campus is so big and green that one can easily live a green and healthy life. We also have a big gym for maintaining health with seperate rooms for boys and girls.
Dislikes
- The academic schedule is too hectic which is bad as one can get very less time for personal growth.
- The hostel rooms are too small according to some of my friends but that is only in first year.
- Some sports are not available for learning for first years but no problem again, one can learn those in 2nd year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is great. We are taught with real world examples. We are basically trained to cope with any situation. We have semester basis exams. The timing for the exam is not fixed but we get it before 2 weeks of the exams. The difficulty depends on exam and semester and it varies greatly.
Internships Opportunities
There are several companies that offer internships to the campus students like Tata steel, HCL, many tech giants like GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, UBER, PHONEPE, etc. The stipend extends 75000 INR. There are several projects like about Machine learning and AI, Cybersecurity, Web Development, App Development, Power and many more.
Placement Experience
The placement session are very good here , many companies come and take students in bulk. They get several job roles. The average package offered in my branch is 30 LPA, the maximum was 84 LPA. The top recruiters are Amazon , Google , Microsoft, Accenture and Texas Instruments.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees division is on the basis of per semester. We pay a total of 100000 as tution fee per semester, 18000 as mess fees and the others as registration and other miscellaneous charges. Further SC,ST categories have to pay no fees. The fees structure is also divided in the basis of family income. If is less than 1LPA, then your whole fee will be waived off and you will also get some money per semester from the institute as your expenses. This is known as MCM which can be different percent according to income.
Campus Life
We have a lot of fests but two major fests are "Concetto" - the technical fest generally held on October and "Srijan" - the cultural fest generally held on February. There are different hostels for each discipline as well as years .Hostel food quality is good relative to other colleges. We have access to wifi everytime throughout the campus at a good speed.Classrooms have proper ventilation system and every classroom has a digital board. The Library is Asia's 2nd largest technical library. We have a health centre which is free for all and it has all necessary facilities.
Admission
Actually, after clearing JEE, I was aimed to go for a branch related to maths or computer because I was interested in studying these subjects further. So I made a list on the basis of the colleges I liked to and then put this course in order of rank of colleges. And according to me JEE rank l, I got it.
Faculty
The teachers are helpful and they provide a clear overview of the course before it start .Every professor is graduated from top universities and so they are qualified for the profession .Every year is divided into semester easy sem and hard Sem to maintain a balance.The faculties are good enough and they take care of every student.
Night Life
We have a great library and at its ground floor, we have too many shops providing different facilities which provides a nice place to hang out late nights and even during daytime. The campus is totally safe at night. There are restrictions on the main gate timings. We are allowed to enter and exit the campus till 10 p.m. only.
