Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was outdated with reference to company standards though the course curriculum was updated for the next batch. University must provide real and good professors for students to teach. Also the must conduct monthly awareness program regarding real world applications. University takes exam frequently after the start of semester and major exams at the end of sem. Though the whole duration for the semester comes a little bit short approx 3.5-4 months including exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

For the batch 2020-2024 the semester fees for the 1 sem was 65000 with security money approx 3500 and from the next semester the fees was 61000 for even sem and 62000 fir the odd emester. The university provides scholarship to the ews category but to limited candidates and also provide opportunity to earn with the scheme name earn while learn where u can work for approx 15 hours a week in some university projects. The university provides SC/ST scholarship where the fees become Nil or approx 300-500 rupees only. The university has a good labs with decent instructors. Some of my batchmates paid zero fees due to SC/ST scholarship. For the batch 2024 onwards the fees is higher a little bit approx 1500-200 rupees

Campus Life

5

The annual fest of the university is conducted timely for approx 4 days duration, there are many fests organised such as winter flowers show, Abhivyakti, Nukkad Natak, Tech fest holi fest etc and the participation among the fest is really good. The fest are well lit and organised where many of the times teachers also take part . Every hostels also organised some traditional folk song and dance fest in their respective hostels. There are many clubs regarding almost every field. I was the class club coordinator of Speakathon Club where I conducted many GD round which enhances students conversation ability.

Hostel Facilities

4

Though every hostels has its owness and on contractual basis but food quality is very poor. They have a fixed menu for 7 days a week at the cost of 39 rs per meal which increases by 2 rs. Every alternate semester. Though the price is less still the food they provide is not worthy at all. They do provide snacks in the evening and breakfast in the morning but prefer to avoid. Getting hostel for general is is quite difficult as they provide hostel to only 6 students from each class on the top they do have reservations of 1 seat each for SC/ST, KM, and OBC. But the university has pledged to provide every girl a safe accomodation in the hostels.

Admission

In Haryana admission to the colleges is done through HSTES counselling. I have been offered CSE at Aravali college Faridabad but didn't go for it as it was costly and less placement track. I opted ECE at GJUS&T, Hisar because of its state government University and budget friendly with good campus and amenities. Admission at GJUS is possible through open counselling conducted at university level by paying a nominal form fees of 1000 rs and then personally visiting counselling venue at university auditorium.

Faculty

4

Each class has almost 70-75 students on q professor and seems uneasy to deliver lecture to every one sitting at the back seat. University conduct 2 minor exams and 1 major exam each semester and 3rd minor exams are optional depending on the necessity. The exams are quite easy to clear but result are very lately announced and many of the times wrong result are announced. There are many faculties who never takes class throughout the semestereven when insisted bu the students or when complained to chairperson. While many professors are friendly and passionate about teaching and they have good bonding with students and they makes the subject or the topic very easy to understand throughout the life there are names like DEEPAK KEDIA, AJAY KUMAR, VINOD

Night Life

5

The university has Gym for both boys and girls with almost every equipments and machines and opened everyday except Sunday from 4pm to 8 om in the evening and 6 am to 8 am in the morning. Tea stalls and the canteen is the best hangout place. The university has a good girls to boys ratio. Fir girls last entry time to hostel is 7 pm in summer and 6 pm in winters and is CCTV surveillance but for boys they roam around the university campus all night and is secured as the university police patrolling is going on overnight.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in the computer science and engineering branch. I want to be a software developer and I am passionate about coding and I love to code that's why I am chosen this branch. The faculty members of my college are awesome and helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. They cooperate with students in every situation . they focus much on the weak student so they can also pass the exam. they use the blackboard and smart classes both to teach the student effectively. we have industrial exposure also. the well built spacious will have no importance if not for the wonderful faculty the college has. All are faculty members are highly knowledgeable and done their post graduation from one of the top colleges like IITS. and most of the teachers are GATE qualified and even it is not once. they are writing the exam regularly. so, if you prepare for the GATE exam, then you can get great help from them. they used to prepare us for the GATE exam, along with academics

I am a Delhite and my college is on outskirts of Delhi and also i being residing near du north campus used to think i will enjoy the same college life. but being into a professional (b.tech) course gave me a different view of college and its life. i came to know how to lead a professional ethic life, learnt some good meaningful things.college management is getting strict day by day for laws against students but the other tasks like things that need to be get done from peon are not getting done. ac's dont work even after complaints. in total the college needs a great improvement else it will keep running the business with no fruits.
