Sister Nivedita University:Potential college with room for improvement

The college curriculum is fairly easy and it does not privide too much pressure on student. Although the College curriculam is same as other colleges, for real world application our curriculum is quite outdated but for further academic pursuit it should not be a problem. Need better teacher and practical implication. 2 exam, mid term and end term are there, midterm usually happen after 2 month and after 4 month we have end term, question paper are very easy. all the question comes from the notes that were given in our classes.

Intership are not given, we have to find internshio on our own, but they do inform us about internship availability. since we have to find our own internship, the project and skill vary according to the industry. usually student with good knowledge and goood project get internship.

from 7th semester they are eligible but it is offered to very few student and very few company visit our campus, usually TCS wipro Cognigent visit us. avarage placement ranges from 3-4lpa. highest was 10lpa. you need 9 cgpa to get placement. My plan is to go for master after getting degree.

For the First semester, i paid rupees 1,31,500. from second semester onwards i have to pay rupees 95,500 per semester. the total fee for the entire 4-year course(which has 8 semester) is rupees 8,00,000. This include tuition fees,lab fees,exam fees etc. As a General Catagory i had to pay this fees. Fees can also vary depending on management qouta or reserved category. Scholarships:- Merit based:- above 95% we have 100% tuition fee waiver 90-95% we have 50% tuition fee waiver 85-90% we have 25% tuition fee waiver Additionally ,there are government and other form of scholarship and financial aid available.

There are not many fest made by our depertment, but they allow us and inform us about other fest happening by other depertment. usually 5-6 big fest happen each year. libraby have all the book we need for our curriculum but very are very basic book and you wont find any Good?reputed books. there are very new extracurriculum activities. our depertment have student who run social group and other group which helps us improve our technical and social skill. we have GDG on campus also.

I did not apply to other colleges. the eligibility criteria was very easy for me to get in. it was close to my house so i took admission in there. you need 70% in 12th standard to get into this college for btech degree. admission experiance was good. they help you with everything. many peaople choose Btech CSE degree.

there are 3 faculty for per 60 student. Faculty are friendly and very easy to approach. They try their best to help the student, they are not arrogant and very kind to us. i liked pritam goshwami, personally he helped me very much. its very hard to tell who is the best faculty but for me its Pritam ghoswami. Each semester there are 2 exam, 1 mid term and other end-term. Exams are fairly easy, and very few studetn fail in the exam. As per my knowlegede last year in CSE only 20-25 student failed in the exam.the course curriculam is same as other colleges, some subject are releavent but there are also some subject that has no implication in computer science.

we have gym but currently is it under construction, we have a cafe with air condition. library is oper till 10am.-4 pm. public areas cloes after 6pm. i have not enroll for hostel . campus has 8-12.30 for some and 12.30-6 for other student. biswa bangla is famous hangout place close to our college. the area in our college is fairly safe.
