Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is good college follows the current trend in technologies there are many projects regarding new technologies and there are also many technical club presents in the college where students can interact

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tusion fee of CSE and ECE are 6000 per semester and for Mechanical and electrical it is 3000 per semester and for Information Technology it is 12000 And there is many government scholarship available like SVMCM

Campus Life

Campus Life in KGEC is amazing the environment of the KGEC is very Good you can do whatever you want there many club presents in the college like music,dance,art and many you can easily follow you passion in college the most amazing part is the annual fest that is ESPEKTRO

Hostel Facilities

There are five hostel in the KGEC one for girls and other 4 are for the boys for registration in hostel you have apply at the time of admission the fee for the hostel is 2000 per month the meal quality is not too bad and the menu are chicken,fish,egg and many vegetables and incase you want to live in PG then there many PG present in the surroundings of the college

Admission

I choose this because it is a government college and comes after the jadavpur university in all colleges under the WBJEE if your GMR is between 1500-3000 you can easily get the admission in KGEC and one thing KGEC is 100% for the Domicile students that is you have to be a resident of west Bengal

Faculty

The faculties are good and helpful and most of the faculties are helpful when you need them they are highly qualified and most of them are PHD are they have the knowledge about the Core subjects all of them are good

Night Life

The night is also amazing the college is attached with the Kalyani University Campus you can easily roam to the campus in night freely there are many hangout places like ITI more,Gangaghat, and many more

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

KGEC REVIEW

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University. I will get Jadavpur University printing engineering but I didn't choose. Our college KGEC is in 2nd rank in terms of all benefits.
