Review of my college

Basically there is not much difference between MBA and PGDM. The syllabus is almost same just the thing is that PGDM provide practical Knowledge. The current going situation in the Market and how the management world will change accordingly. MBA provide theoretical knowledge. Suggestion for pgdm is they can include more subjects of specialisation. Talking about exam the exams are conducted in 4 semester in 2 yrs. Each sem has 2 exam 1 is mid term which is MCQ and other is end term which is theory.

The internships are provided in 2 nd semester. I have worked in market research company and it was really great experience. My stipend was 5000 per month. Every student gets stipend internship in our college. I have worked on project named as market analysis of parenteral nutrition. I worked on identifying trends and opportunities of thet Market along with swot and BCG matrix.

From semester 3 the student are eligible for campus placement. In 2 nd sem they are eligible for internship experience. There are lot more companies come to our campus. From startups to MNC's. Some of the companies such as for finance, axis securities, Bajaj, major banks , Deloitte, and many more. For marketing, marketsandmarkets, Deloitte, cabin kare, launched, various consulting companies etc. For pharma, cipla, Lupin, GSK, Emcure, ily Lilly etc. Highest package is 12 LPA and average is 45LPA 70-80 % students get placed My plans are to get placed and be at great position in any company.

Basically the Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School is an autonomous college. All students has to pay same amount of fees. The total fees is 5L and 250000 for 1 yr. Now from this yr the fees will be 600000. The student don't have to pay any extra fees for any other activities. There is no scholarship scheme available, we just have to give interview and pn the basis of that we get selected. The hostel fee is different.

Every year the college give fresher party is Goa and annual function is held in month of January. All kind of books are available in the library. Proper sections are made for different specialisation which helps students to pick the book easily. We can have 2 books on each card. The sports events are also conducted at proper sports club and teams are made winning team also get great prizes. Social group such as Rotaract club is run by our college. Students can learn and achieve lot more things from this various activities.

I have applied for mima institute and lotus business school. Mima has completed its intake thus I didn't get admission there. Comparing LBS with DY Patil i thought DY Patil is pretty much better is infrastructure staff and placement record. I didn't get rejection from other colleges but the sits are not available thus I didn't get admission there. The admission process is very simple, they used to take personal interview and on the basis of that they select you. They can ask you basic questions based on you graduation and personal skills. You can also eligible if you have given CET or ATMA exam

Faculty ratio is very high as compared to students. The faculty members are very supportive and they also provide very proper guidance. We can be very comfortable with the faculty members. Teaching of faculty members is very good and my favourite teacher who teaches us marketing and economics is Dr. Sane sir. He is the best among all. Dr. Ahmed sir is the best person for personal doubts and guidance. Bhat sir is best for accounts and costing and many more such faculty is very supportive and friendly. The collection also support for personality development for that Dr. Hema ma'am is the best person.

For the selection process only interview is conducted. The questions are based on past experiences or graduation knowledge and personal skills. For eg. What are your strengths and weakness, why you chose PGDM. Why you want to take admission in our college, your hobbies and some technical questions as well. I prepared for this round by gaining my graduation knowledge and reading about college and course.

The gym is available for students and cafeteria of our college has best taste ever. Library is accessible till 7 pm. Hostel students can chill upto 9pm can play games or sports. The whole locality is very safe for every student in the college. We have waited till 2 am once in our college for the arrangement of our program. The best place to hangout is game area. Where lots more indoor games are available we can chill there and relax as well.
