Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum at Techno India does a decent job of covering the basics and giving students a solid foundation in their respective fields. However, there’s room for improvement. While it includes some relevant topics, it could do more to align with current industry demands. For instance, adding advanced topics like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Cloud Computing would make it more future-focused. I also feel there’s a need for more hands-on learning—like live projects, internships, and workshops—to help us apply what we learn in real-world scenarios. Allowing more flexibility in choosing electives and introducing interdisciplinary courses would also make the curriculum more comprehensive and tailored to individual career goals. Overall, it’s a good start, but regular updates to reflect industry trends would make it much better.

Internships Opportunities

5

Techno India offers decent internship opportunities, mostly through tie-ups with mid-level companies and startups. While the college provides some support, students often need to be proactive in finding internships on their own. Networking with alumni and attending career fairs can help. Many students also rely on platforms like LinkedIn or Internshala for better options. Overall, the college sets the stage, but it’s up to you to make the most of it.

Placement Experience

4

The placement at Techno India is decent and a good number of companies visit the campus mostly mid level IT companies but also companies like IBM, Eccenture, Google, etc. For students with strong skills and consistent efforts there's definitely many opportunities and scope of landing high paying jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am Sambhav Pathak, currently pursuing B.Tech Computer Sciencs And Engineering With Data Science in Techno India University, Kolkata. My per semester fees is 1,20,000 rs. which ultimately after paying 4 years of fees equals to 9,40,000 rs. At the time of admission, there was no extra aur hidden charges for admission and the just took the semester fees which is 1,20,000 rs. Other than my course I know the fees of some other course like B.Tech Biotechnology and ir costs 87,000 rs. Per semest and core CSE students have to pay 81,000 rs. in order the pursue the course. Every other fee was included in the semester fees except the examination fee and they provided a detailed reciept for it mentioning all the charges. The examination fee here is rs. 2000. I find this mehtod very uncomplicated and helpful as they dont have any hidden charges.

Campus Life

4

My overall experience with campus life at Techno India has been a mix of highs and lows. On the social side, it’s been great to meet people from different backgrounds and make some really good friends. The campus has a lively vibe during events and fests, which are definitely the highlights of the year. Clubs and societies are active, and joining them helped me develop new skills and connect with like-minded people. That said, the infrastructure could be better. While the basics like classrooms and labs are functional, they’re not always well-maintained or equipped with the latest technology. The library is decent, but it could use more updated resources. Despite these shortcomings, the energy and creativity of the students make the experience worthwhile. It’s a place where you have to actively seek opportunities to grow, but the potential is there if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Admission

I chose Techno India because it offered a good balance of reputation, affordability, and opportunities for placements. While some of the other colleges I applied to had better infrastructure or higher placement packages, Techno India provided a solid platform at a reasonable cost. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get into some of the other colleges due to stiff competition and my entrance exam rank. However, the admission process at Techno India was smooth and straightforward, based on WBJEE or JEE Main scores, which made the transition easier. Though the college isn’t perfect, I believe it provides enough resources and opportunities if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Faculty

5

Faculty to students ratio is 48:1 which is decent for a college. I like all the faculty members here and don't have any complaints about them. All the students here are very satisfied with the faculty staffs as they are very helpful. The exam is at the level of what teachers teach us so it's good for us and they also take mock tests or revisions at a regular time of interval.

Interview Experience

4

No, I didn’t have to face a group discussion or interview for admission to Techno India. The process was mainly based on my WBJEE or JEE Main exam scores. After that, there was a counseling process where I chose my preferred branch, but there wasn’t any additional written test or interview involved. It was pretty straightforward and focused on the entrance exam results.

Night Life

4

The nightlife around Techno India is simple but enjoyable. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, and hangout spots nearby, with Sector V and local malls being popular choices. It’s more about late-night chai runs, street food, or casual gatherings with friends than a party scene. For vibrant nightlife, the city offers options, but they’re a bit farther and less frequent for most students.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
