They are improving the course curriculum as they have introduced a new coding bootcamp for students which actually teaches the skills which are necessary to get placed.Other than that the course is outdated and teaches the old things which aren't that relevant nowadays.

Companies are called on campus for internship opportunities but the internship opportunities are very less and you have to learn actual skill to get an internship. The teachers are pretty chill if you do the internship during holidays. You may need to talk to the hod or the faculty advisor.You have to do good projects and you must have a good cv if you want an internship.

The placements of my college is average just because the number of students is too much.From the 6-7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.As SRM is a big college many multi national companies visit the campus for placement.Average Package is near about 6-7LPA. Near about 80% students get placed which is pretty good keeping in mind the number of students.Companies which visit the campus for placements are accenture infosys tcs jp morgan chase and co. deloitte bank of america and many others.

The yearly fees for my course is 4,75,000 per year mainly all computer science courses have this fees only other than this cse with iot has a fees structure of 4,25,000 per year. The fees for automobile engineering and electronics and communication engineering is 2,75,000. If your rank is less than 300 in the srmjee exam then you get a 20% scholarship but only on the tution fees. Hostel fees and extra amount is not included in that.There is also a exam fees before each end semester exam depending upon the number of course you have it can vary from 1800 to 3800.

As there are a large number of students there is a club regarding everything. There are n number of clubs in the college and every club has their own goal few focus on their particular achievements and few focus on social events. Regularly events are held in college on every festival. You also get to take part in any event you want.

I live in hostel. Recently they have started agasthiyar hostel which is very good space wise as the rooms are spacious rest of the hostels have packed rooms and near to no space. Food quality is ok not bad there is not much oil. The hostel gets sold out pretty quick you have to be very fast. They give 1 bed 1 almirah 1 study table and 1 chair.

My primary goal was to become a pilot and i was trying to pursue that only later my parents forced me to do btech first when i started searching colleges it was actually too late and only srm was the available option.The admission process for pretty easy just need to submit the required documents and they will do the rest.

In every department there are many sections so the quality of teachers is missing due to huge crowd. Faculty standard also need to be doubted, because sometimes you will find some better students than the faculty. Experienced faculty are good in making concepts understandable but new faculty face difficulties. Need more standard faculty who can improve the student's knowledge easily

There is no nightlife in the college as the in time for girls hostel is 6:30pm and for boys is 9:00pm you have absolutely no night life the only fun you can have at night is inside the hostel. According to me this isn't right we do not get to attend any events which take place in chennai we do not get to visit the pubs. The main food court JAVA closes at 7:00pm and is open till 9:00pm for delivery. JAVA is the main hangout place inside the campus and TRS is the main hangout place outside the campus.
