Positive remarks about the college would be -well organised curriculum , well written notes are provided , good faculty , you will experience a lot more here Negative remarks would be - the administration is not that friendly and helpful , the college prohibits to the use of cellphone inside campus

The course curriculum is very good. Notes are provided every semester and each topic is explained very well. Even on general subjects ( subjects apart from your major) notes are given , which is enough for you to fetch 70% of the marks. If you want to score more you can also maintain your own well written notes

I have no clue about it topic. However I have seen few partime teachers during my time on AVC. The teachers came for experience under the professors here. Again , I have no clue about stipend. They should have been paid

There is a placement cell in the college. The Arya Vidyapeeth College placement cell does provides placement opportunities to the final year students. You have to appear written test and personal interview for it.

A college week is held where various competition are held. For example singing competition , Rangoli competition , fashion show competition ( I don't know exactly what it is called ). Then there are various sports activities like football , cricket , kabbadi etc. There are also department competition for rally and wall board.

The fee structure is very low. It is almost negligible however you have to pay for various facilities such as college library ( which students hardly use ).Each year you have to pay admission fee.

There are quite a lot scholarships I have heard of while I was at college. Those are government schemes which benefits students having low family income or students who belong to unprivileged caste categories.

The college activities provides good opportunity to open up students creative side and to participate in them. The labs are good however few department labs are fairly good. The sports activities are held regularly.

Since I never stay at college hostel I have no clue about hostel infrastructure. The college facilities are good. They have built new buildings inside the campus ( the construction is still going on I guess). There is a new canteen , new girls common room and new labs for botany and zoology departments

The senior students have been quite helpful and friendly. They earned us about every difficulty they faced and helped us to cope up. They showed us how every subject is important and ignoring any subject can be a big time loss

The exam structure is planned by Guwahati university and question papers are set by the University. There are six semesters for bachelors degree. Every semester there is a sessional exam which adds mark to your semester exams.

I filled the college form, which you have to buy right after your HS results are out. After form filling I submitted during the submission day. A selection day was given to the students who opted for bsc courses. On the selection day names were called out and the forms were reviewed by few College faculties. Those whose names were called out ,got admission to the college. That's how I got admission in this College. This process is pretty much same for every college in Guwahati.

The college faculty are all well informed and educated. They know a lot more than just what's there in the text book. They will treat you like their own children. However, you would like to be on the good side of your major faculties, otherwise you three years will not be a good experience.
