Remarks

The teachers are sincere and committed towards their job. The alumni is also very good and helpful. But some staff members mainly those holding office positions aren't very helpful and they aren't interested in providing assistance to the students. The time table is very hectic beginning from 8:30 and ending at 4:30.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very relevant and is made very simple and knowledgeable for the students. The curriculum is made in such a way that even the weakest student will be able to learn easily. The curriculum is very interesting and informative.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, there are various societies in my college which provide internships by collaborating with various top companies. These internships are in various different fields. I have opted for a content writing internship in one of the leading companies. Presently I am doing the internship and I earn approx 3000 per month.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are not very good. But approximately 30-35% students get job directly after completing their graduation. As it is a south campus college of delhi university, the job opportunities are lesser than the North campus colleges. But it is one of best colleges of south campus in terms of providing jobs.

College Events

5

Various events takes place in my college during the year. Some of them are - Orientation programme - It is organised by the student union every year on thr fifth day of commencement of college every year. Commerce fest - it takes place in the beginning of every year in the month of August. Society events - various societies conduct their events during the year like quiz show, seminars on career pursuance and other interesting events related to games and fun as well as knowledge enhancing seminars etc. Annual function - It is organised in the month of February or March every year by the student union. Annual fest of societies - societies related to commerce, finance, english, physics, dance and music etc. Conduct their annual fest in the month of February.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible and comes under the budget of even the low income group people. The annual fees is approx 14000 which includes the examination fees also for that particular year. Other than this, it also includes a refundable amount upto 2000 to be refunded at the end of the course.

Fees and Financial Aid

My college is a government college and it provides certain very good and cheaper services one of which is a scholarship facility. The scholarship facility is awarded to the reserved category students (SC, ST & OBC). The scholarship amount is approximately 10000 per year per student.

Campus Life

3

There are many extracurricular activities conducted by the societies of the college. The quality and standard of these activities is quite good. The labs are not in a very good condition and many labs misses the basic amenities. Many computers in lab are not in working condition. Sports are key focus in the college. Many students participate and win lots of rewards at national level every year.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The college doesn't has a hostel facility. Hence no rating is required. Their are many PGs located near the college. These PGs provide good accommodation facility to the students from far off places. The charges range between 6000 to 25000 depending upon the facilities provided by them.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni is very helpful and hardworking. They are very friendly with the new students. I have got so much help from my seniors during the process of my admission in the college as I didn't had much knowledge of the college at that time. Many of my seniors have became my friends till now.

Exam Structure

Exams are taken offline in physical form through pen paper mode. Students get thrir admit cards about 1 month before the commencement of exams. The date sheet is revealed on the college website 2 months after beginning of semester. The students have to appear in the college on the date of their exam. The checking takes place through a centralised system for all the colleges of Delhi university.

Admission

I had to file an online application on the website of delhi university. Then after my 12th boards result was declared, I chose this college and filled another form on delhi university site. After that, I had to appear in the college to submit all the documents and complete the verification process. Then a prospectus was issued and admission was granted to me.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty is very sincere and dedicated towards their work. They teach the students with complete sincerity and they are very friendly with the students. The faculty is very helpful and are always ready to help the students whenever they need.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
