College for Plant sciences

As I've studied in this college and as per my experience I've learnt a lot from this college whether it is class lesson or life lesson. There are some shortcomings too but struggle here is real and we can only learn and grow from struggling. So i would definitely recommend this college to every plant sciences aspirant.

Course curriculum is arranged well. All the basic courses are there which are important to go ahead further. Then there are courses related to each and every stream such as Horticulture, forestry and biotechnology. There are math based courses such as statistics.

Yes. Our college provide some internship program related to the biotechnology stream. I don't have much knowledge about stipend because I've not attended any internship from my college. But there were some students from other colleges who attended it.

Placement is done for selected streams. There is no placement cell in actual but companies keep visiting and take interviews for a few project based jobs. There is a seed company which select students after interview for the job post.

Every important events are celebrated in our college. Science day, on this day various types of competitions are held. Debate, quiz, painting, elocution etc. Then holi is celebrated. NSS day, Children's day, annual day are also being celebrated every year here.

The fee structure here in our college is feasible. If you get subsidised seat then it's far more better and affordable. For self financing seat, it is a bit more than the subsidised seat. Fee for one semester for subsidised seat is about twenty thousand and for other it is about seventy thousand.

If You're studying in our college then you can only avail one scholarship at a time and it depends on you which one you want to pick. There are scholarships like central government scholarships and state government scholarships. I've received a state government scholarship as the amount of this scholarship was higher than the college scholarship.

With academic facilities the extra curricular activities are done at its best. Various competitions are held for this purpose. Labs here in our college are well furnished and equipped with best instruments. Sports facilities are also good.

The hostel infrastructure is very good. All rooms are well furnished in hostel. There are rooms for three students as well as some rooms are big and occupy 4 students. Hostel facilities are great. Food mess is there. A gym is also there where we can workout and do exercises daily.

As i said earlier that there are a limited students here for each course and hence the communication,whether it is with teachers or with students themselves is easy. The alumini network is good here. And seniors are best as they help hus in many ways.

Exam is done in two sessions. One is internal exam and other is external exam. Internal exam includes a mid term examination and a practical examination. External examination includes only a single end term examination. The total is sum of both the examinations.

Firstly i got to know about the Entrance exam of this college by a newspaper. I filled the application ang given exam. Then result was declared and a merit list was prepared and admission was done through counselling taken in 3 sessions. I got selected in the first counseling.

Faculty here is very good. There are limited number of students and more staff members which make us to communicate easily and quickly. Faculty is very supportive and is available all the time. Their way of teaching is also best.
