Course Curriculum Overview

I chose these college because it is the oldest college in siliguri almost more than 60 year. The timing of each exam is 2 hours and the difficulty level is moderate if a student is sincere he/she will clear the exam

Class Size: 800Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

It was the government college siliguri college of commerce so i got admission according to my class 12 merit and the admission feee that time was about 2500 for general B. Com course and the semester fees was about 500 and exam fee was about 450 and and for other categories it was like 5000 for BCA, 8000 for B. Sc . Scolarship was available for the ST, SC candidate 5000 for each year and from 2024 the fees structure has been increased due to change in educational policies in india

Campus Life

Our college celebrate saraswati puja in the month of February and the books and the books are available in our library which is required as per of our board. Our college organise several sports like cricket, football etc

Admission

I applied for salesian college siliguri i didn't get addmission there because i applied late. That is the reason i didn't get the admission. Admission process of our college is very simple you can apply it through website

Faculty

Teacher are cooperative in oir college and they help the student very well there are almost 5 exam in each semester and 30 exam in overall we have to clear all the subject to get the graduation certificate.

Night Life

The gym and cafeteria closed in 8:00 pm our college do have hotel facility which is very good student can also hangout in the campus area of our college the locality is safe and nearby the is a police station

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement Experience:

from 3rd semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Various Jewelleries company has visited, and even companies like Google, Tata and many has visited. As per i know the highest package were in lacs per month. The college provides 100% placement. After getting the degree, I'll do masters in business administration.

I did chose this course to learn more about accounting and finance and the cirriculum prepares you perfectly for the real world. The exams were conducted very soon in few semester only giving 3 months for the students to prepare . the professors were good at teaching and somehow used to complete the syllabus

SXC is invaluable to me!

Placement Experience:

Highest package of our program has been 20 lakhs. Companies like EY, DeShaw, ITC, CESC and many others which are multi billion dollar groups were the ones which are invited for placements. Batch size including morning and evening is of 400 students and nearly 200 gets placements in dream companies. Roles of business analyst and accounting are provided and SAP is taught in our college so those who know that gets job easily.

My experience with siliguri college of commerce

This college is very good for the students who want to work while studying because the college timing is between 5:30-7:30 so you can easily do a 9 to 5 job and attend the classes also, the fees are also very low as compared to other colleges and the teachers are also well qualified....Read More
