Likes

I like that student- teacher ratio is very good.
The faculty are exprienced and expert in their field
There are good labs exercises with includes all the latest software and equipments

Dislikes

Administrative work is quite slow. It took so much time to pass on the information.
Cost of the course is very high, as it is quite high in comparison with other universities
Faculty has to administrative work as well. This led to the session distrubance.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing a Master's in Geography, which includes more focus on the particle subjects. This course includes GIS and remote sensing subjects. This also includes information and particle training on the software like ARCGIS and QGIS.

Class Size: 9Course Fees: INR 61000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 120000 per year plus 25000 security fees. This course, in total, includes 2 lakh 40 thousand, excluding the security fees. Amity University also provides scholarships for students with 90 percent and above. However, this does not include drop-year or gap-year students.

Campus Life

Amity University holds the annual festival known as Sanganthan which is celebrated as a foundation day of the university. This day includes various support competitions which includes volleyball, basketball, and chess competition.

Admission

I have also applied for the Delhi University, Delhi School of Economics. But I didn't clear the entrance exam. so, the next best option for me is Amity University as their focus is more on particle and technical skills which are very important for the job.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is excellent and faculty interaction with students is very good. There are mentor sessions to discuss student concerns every month. This session helps the student express their concern about the faculty and teaching style and their experience with the course.

Night Life

Amity University campus has a gym which can be accessed through membership. The campus also includes a floor library with a computer-connected free wifi to access the e-resources. The library complex is equipped with a first-class infrastructure.

Placement Experience:

The placement here at Sharda was too good. Students start attending the Placement interviews and calls from the last semester. I was personally made into 4 companies and 4 offer letters were offered to me. The average package is 3.8 lakhs per annum and highest was about 11 lakhs. There is 100% placement in every dept. but it depends on students if they want to attend or not. After getting the degree i studied for my PhD entrace and now i am working.

The only specific aspect of choosing this curriculum is I wanna go in a teaching position . I'm doing masters in sociology and it's really help me to prepare well for my future job. In my college the teaching methods is quie good for me and in my perspective the frequency and difficulty levels of exam is not excessive.

Placement Experience:

Placement are not apt as the cirricullum is. but 3-6 lakh per annum package is average you can expect from Amity University. Almost 20 % student get placed in my couse , I can't say of other courses. I plan to work on counselling part and explore opportunities.

Life at JT Girls Degree College

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I wanted to become an English Professor, the course really helped me a lot in getting an insight into English Literature. The professors are very encouraging. The curriculum not only relies on the traditional method of teaching but also various co curricular activities are conducted to prepare the students for the real world. Each student is given an opportunity to prove herself. As the exams are conducted annually we get a lot of time to prepare accordingly.

Experience of college life

Remarks:

Overall, I can say that my experience of the college for postgraduate degree is good as of now. Although the course is good, but, I would want more focus to be put on practical learning because after all, it is a practical subject. Other than that, I am content with the facilities provided by the college. I was very interested in the subject and love it personally, so it is a great experience for me.

AMITY UNIVERSITY - GUIDE 101 FOR B.TECH

I applied to SRM chennai and got the admission letter. but i had to choose AMITY because of lack of hostel accommodation in SRM for female students. When i got there they told me they had 0 rooms for so many students. I did not get a rejection, i had to reject SRM because of lack of hospitality for North Indian people at the reception desk.
