VIT BHOPAL from the eyes of a Fresher !

The course cerriculum is quite advanced and very relevant according to present and future times. Everyone is taught coding and stuff at different levels irrespective of their branch or anything. All the modern subjects and languages are included in the curriculum like i am being taught both python and C++ at very first year of my college. As it proceeds you are taught specialised subjects according to your specialisation also.

There are quite a few internship opportunities. As a fresher i can not say much about the internships but can assure that they are being provided. Some of my seniors got good internships and also it helps them further in their placements and all. Few of listed companies for internships are (Amazon , TCS , wipro etc). Opportunities are there but you should be able to grab them otherwise the grapes may turn out to be sour .

The placements are there and are at good numbers as it has median package of 900000 and 80%+ placement rates . In front of my eyes almost all the 4rth year students got placed at mediocore packages but they got them from the college. Obivously there are always exceptions . The college actually does works with you till very last for placements they always got your back .

In my college ,we have a category system for btech it goes as - category 1 - 200000 category 2 - 300000 category 3 - 400000 category 4 - 500000 these category you get based on your rank in the interance exam of VIT. Like mine was category 1, and my rank was around 55000 in the vit enterance exam, hence i got CSE(AI & ML ) under category 1. I would say the ROI is quite good till category 3.

The campus life is quite inriching we got over 30+ clubs of diverse backgrounds . The social aspects are good people are friendly and collaborative . Coming to the infrastructure as i told it is quite young university so a lot of infrastructure is in process and the constructions are going on day and night. We got over 6+ hostel blocks just for boys and 2 huge blocks for girls and also two big academic blocks and many are in process.

Hostel and mess facilities are really good , we got over 6+ blocks of hostels for boys and 2huge ones for girls. Both AC and Non -AC hostels are available. We got three mess (Mayuri the best , shuffle the rising star and CRCL the bad old granny). ALL kinds of food (veg , nonveg , south Indian etc) are served in the menu.

As everyone else i too tried for JEE exam but did not achived the desired result . Then when i looked over for private colleges this college stood against other for me due to the academics and the fee amount for B.tech . It also provided the brand of VIT which is really good as compared to other available private colleges. The admission process was quite smooth everything was done online and a final day was for getting into college physically and just it starts thenn.

The facality here in college are really good and diverse. We got soo many highly qualified individual from various high level institutes like (IITs, IIITs and many from foreign country graduates). Course is designed as such your degree gets completed in your third year and last year goes for your overall improvement. We got midterm and endterm exam of 50 and 100 marks respectivily out of them 30 are weightaige marks from each and other 35 are in the facality hand basically(tutorials, assignment etc.) and also 5 marks for attendance percentage. which makes it total of 100 marks.

Actually that is the sad part of the story their is zero thing like nightlife around the campus and even you can not step outside the campus it is just agricultural land all around. You will definetly feel far away from civilisation many time . College provides you incampus libraries and cafeterias and about the gym the lesser said is better. Overall it is a lot of academic focused environment and nothing much.
