Overall experience at GIET university, gunupur

The only reason I choosed electrical and electronics engineering is that I listen that the faculties and department of electrical engineering is really good in giet university,and their is less student strength and compition as well.there are labs for each electrical subjects all are well equipped with various machinary which helps in brushing up our practical knowledge.the faculties needs to be impartial towards the students.

Truly the college never provides any internship opportunity.the students have to try by themselves to get intership.besude this the college tied up with many intership provider platform like internshala etc which keeps spamming in our college official mail id to get intership.projects are mandatory for each semester detailed review happens for the projects.the students are encouraged more about projects which is a plus point

Placement starts from starting of 6th semester.the students gets filtered into 3 to 4 phase of campus drive where the first phase student gets good placement accordingly,the most common companies are tsc, cognizant,tech Mahindra beside this high radius is the company who mass recruits the students every year,the average package is 8lpa

At giet university the course fees per year in btech is 105000rs for electrical and electronics engineering and it is same for all core engineering branch where as the course fees of cse was 135000 which was suddenly hicked to 190000 last year even few students of same batch paying 135000 and few 190000.beside this the registration fees for the semester was currently 1500rs but for new batch 2024 it is increased to 1700rs and semester exam fees is 1000rs for every one in between their are library charges for taking books

Every year gets full of technical non technical and cultural events.recently I witnessed annual cultural fest shrujan 3.0.there are branch wise fests and events.about 100 + sports facilities are available and there are about 7 badminton courts, volleyball ground, cricket ground, football ground are there.there are swimming pools and gym and a movie theatre in campus which keeps students engaged.the campus is having Green parks, walking path,open gym

The rooms are well equipped with fans,bed,desk, chair, shelf, locker etc,the rooms are really well maintained and gets coloured every 2 months.every day swipper comes,there is toilet cleaner who cleans toilet every day.each damaged equipment gets repaired instantly by technician free of cost.wifi is available 24 hours and one router for every 2 rooms .the mess food quality is really good and the menu gets changed every month.

I applied in this college only as many of my relatives passed out from hear are placed in very good companies and the suggested me thish college as a better college the admission process is that you have to contact through college website then book seat by giving 10000 advance then admission takes place on campus on given date.

There are about 300+ faculties and 850+ staffs in giet.the 1400 betch students are decided into 30 section and in each section there are about 65 students.faculties are well qualified and ph.d holders having years of experience but few are fresh , mostly the faculties are assistant professors and they take smost of the class.still they are good at there teaching but few not.

Mostly the library opens 24×7,the cafeteria closes afters 11pm and the resturant closes after 8pm . mostly the campus gets silent after 9 pm but sports and games keeps on till late night .the last entry time to the college is 7pm .
