Course Curriculum Overview
-well some people may find the curriculum a bit outdated its provides a solid foundation. -end semester exams are considered more difficult than mid semester exams. -Some profressors are very strict while most others are friendly.
Internships Opportunities
-Nit Rourkela provide internship programme for btech, barch, bsc, msc and mba students. -Eligibility criteria for internships requires a good academic record who completed 2 or 3 years towards an engineering or science degree.
Placement Experience
-According to recent statistics the average placement for all engineering courses is now over 13 lakhs. -Highest placement that has been offered is 1.2crore per annum. -More than 82% students get placed in 2024 placement sessions.
Fees and Financial Aid
-Yearly fee structure sc student is currently 70000 excluding the first year, as the first semester fees is different from rest of other semesters. -Scholarships are provided by the institute for which student has to contact the college administration. -for general, first semester fees is 136,500 after that 111,500
Campus Life
-Overall experience with campus life pretty good and infrastucture provided here well maintained. -Nit Rourkela library has vast collection of booking including various course books and on other topics like acting, editing etc. -There are various club for every group of interest.
Hostel Facilities
-Hostels are very well maintained and there no time limit in hostel entry except for first year. -Hostel mess menu is very good ,like you'll get 5 days non-veg and the non-veg as well as veg menu is pretty good.
Admission
-The reason why i prefer this college is because its placement statistics, huge lush green campus, extra curicular activities, Sports facilities and late nate freedom for students inside campus. -Admission is similar to other colleges, for admission JEE MAINS exam qualification is required. -Cutoffs are generally on higher side every year.
Faculty
Faculties of nit rourkela are very co-operative, they will help in your academics in every way. total 100 marks is assigned to a student in 20marks from TA 30marks from mid semester 50 marks from end semester
Night Life
-Night life here is very good, well they're are some restriction for first year students but for others it is quit free. -Every hostel has its own gym , timing is 5:30pm to 9:30pm and for morning is 6:30am to 9:30am. -Inside campus we have Dominos, amul parlour and restaurants.
