Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is good if you have an interest in business and economics. It is quite different from a regular economics honours course, since everything is based on a business interpretation of economic concepts. If one has interest in the same and wants a degree from University of Delhi, then I would suggest going for this course. There are no events in the college worth going as such, but the BBE department has an active society which keeps on organising interesting events throughout the year and gives lots of opportunities for having a good college life. Interest in Business and Economics and getting a DU Degree is the only reason to go here in 2025.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is 25000. The total course duration is minimum 3 years, which can be extended to a 4th year. There are reservation quotas such as those for any other Delhi University colleges. There are also scholarships such as for those for any other Delhi University colleges. There are help and financial support for books, hostel, etc.

Campus Life

4

There are no fests in the college like other DU colleges. There are competitions and events round the year, but not on a large scale. Books and journals in the library are helpful, and the seniors also help by giving their own materials to the juniors. Classrooms in the old building have no technology equipment, but the new building has projectors and good infrastructure. The sports and extracurricular activities are plenty. Many girls get admitted from sports quota and are able to purse a sports in a good manner. There are many societies such as Debate Club, Women Empowerment Club, Commerce Club, and separate societies for each course. The society for BBE is quite active and provides good exposure.

Admission

There are only 10 colleges offering BBE in Delhi University. So, therefore, the course is high in demand. It is a professional course so the college is still in the process of adapting to a professional setting. I applied for all other colleges offering BBE in DU, and got admitted here via the Common University Entrance Exam (CUET). My preference was to go to Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce to pursue this same course, but the cutoff for the same is very high. The admission process was very simple, I had to give the CUET exam and then the I got the college as per my score.

Faculty

3

The teachers are mixed. Some professors are quite professional and knowledgeable, some have no clue what they are teaching. The curriculum for BBE is well developed, the syllabus is quite relevant and interesting. Semester exams can be tough, depends upon how well one is prepared. There is one external end semester exam per semester and internal tests and classroom assignments. Paas percentage is 85-90%. In BBE, there are roughly 35 students per year and 4 teachers for different core subjects. The guest teachers called for lectures can be condescending, but they teach well. They are called from renowned institutions such as Hindu, SRCC, etc.

Night Life

5

Being just adjacent to north campus, there are plenty of cafes nearby. Hudson Lane is very close, so it provides very good hangout places. The locality is also considered to be a very posh one, being in the prime area of Ashok Vihar. There are good eateries just outside the college providing with diverse food options.

Placement Experience:

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placement in my college for my course BBA pretty good. The college is also Offers internship opportunities. We can expect an average package of around 3 to 4 lakhs per annum for BBA. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.
