Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum includes that of the study regarding relevant themes and news happening international and at a national level. The curriculum prepares us being stubborn with our decisions regarding geopolitics and everything where sometimes we are also tend to be flexible to understand the concepts. The areas where I find improvement should be there is regarding more importance needed to be given for the practical side of each subjects and how can we rapidly take decisions. The time and frequency is not that fine, since for some difficult papers there are just 2 or very few days for preparation and for the difficult ones, the preparatory holidays are more than essential.

Internships Opportunities

4

Many companies do give offers for interships in our college but recently many intership were given from the ministry of disaster management. I had done one and it was worth it . The intership is not paid, but the exposure that it gives you, makes you a person who is more consistent and flexible by making proper decisions and showing progress

Placement Experience

3

From 6th sem students become eligible for placement cells.I have not many ideas about how the placement works in my college, though the average package is between INR 3 LPA to INR 5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is almost 70 percent. My plans after getting the degree is going for cuet pg to get admission for postgraduation courses in Delhi... particularly JNU

Fees and Financial Aid

For the last sem I had paid Rs 810 and now for the next sem as well, the amount would be almost the same. There are concessions for students whose parents earnings are below 5 lakh per annum...But this course is perfectly affordable for me

Campus Life

5

My student union of my college for this year is a bit active and hence there was the dandiya night and diwali mela along with freshers conducted in the month of Oct , sep and nov. The societies also works hard, where I am part of almost 4 societies. The infrastructure of my college is huge and we have 2 huge grounds . The range and accessibility of Books are quite moderate since our college library is a bit old. The facilities and technological provisions are great .The sports and curricular activities are fabulous and active since our college often bags prizes for various items. The student run groups include that of Pehchan society and of nss and ncc who does a great job doing social service to the public from the college or the student side .

Admission

I had applied for a number of other colleges, but after the allotment got it into the present one. but I am totally happy here about my course, the co- curricular activities and about the faculties. If I start to compare my college with other colleges, there are a number of places where my college is a bit behind, may be in the case of infrastructure or placements. The main reason I was not able to be of another college was about the marks that I achieved in cuet ug and I guess more preparation was necessary. The admission process was easy, where the admission letter was given along with my marksheet of 12th standard and cuet scores was submitted. I had applied for a number of North campus colleges and I didn't get it into them , the reason is about the marks scored in cuet ug.I didn't get any rejection from any of the college. The eligibility criteria is all about your cuet scores, according to which you get admission into various colleges.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is almost the same. The faculties of my college are almost very approachable and particularly faculty of my course. My favourite faculties are Juhi Ma'am and Rashmita Ma'am. Both of them are very friendly, teaching Political Science. I didn't like the approach of Latha ma'am, I exactly don't remember which subject she is teaching, but she is more kind of not that approachable and many times doesn't clear our doubts. There are a total of 5 exams for now in this semester and most of them are easy for me. But many students find it difficult in their internal assessments. The relevance of my curriculum is very much especially for higher studies in Political Science.

Night Life

2

The nightlife is nothing is we have got no hostels in our college and it's quite unsafe during the night to roam around in the college. My favourite hangout spot include that of the college group with good sunshine particularly during the noon in winters hits different. We do not have gym but do have a good library. We do not have hostels and the college will close by 6pm . The best places to roam around is just a cafe out near our college and the momos spot..It is not at all safe to roam outside the college at night

Other Applied Colleges

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
