Svnit: Placement and college life

Like all the weather NITs and iits this college also follow the same syllabus that was used to followed back in 1960's there are improvement in the course that can help us in doing engineering things in today's modern world. The professor still teaches what written in the text books all they are very intelligent and have done their PhD is in very respected universities and their also experience to teaching the foreign university too. While having a very great knowledge sometimes they are not able to reflect that knowledge and share that knowledge to us by that teaching methodology, you have to study by your own to get a good marks.

Internship opportunities are good for the students in the circle branches for core branches the scenario is not that good around 25 students got in township and total number of students seeking for internship where more than hundred you need to be very good at your coding skills and many of the students and many good number of projects and their selected all other students try to offline or online internship opportunities and many of them subsidy in it to the data for depend the number of the students getting internship is not disclosed by the college so it is a bit to know about the data for these.

Students usually start there preparation for the placement in the third year and the company started to visit here in the fourth year the placements around goes for like 8 to 9 month. In 2024 the highest package was like 52 lakh and average package was around 8 to 9 lakh. Talking about electrical department last year 102 hour of 120 students were placed in the college campus. White variety of the companies visit here to recruit the students from the campus.

The price for the first semester is around 1.5 lakh and if you include the hostel fees it is around 40000 for one semester and almost 20000 for the mess fees for one semester only. There are free remissions for the financially weaker class in the college where they can study with pain some less money or even without paying any money in the college. If you monthly income is less than 7 lakh you have you will get around 10% back and if you monthly income is less than 2 lakhs you will get almost 70% back.

For the first year students there is a freshers party named as Kashish happened ,where students can participate for singing dancing and the DJ night. Kashish events goes for the two days. SBI net also host the biggest technical fest in the entire Gujarat mind band in which people show their innovative ideas about science and technology this is really great fest for people having a techy mind. The annual fest and the most biggest face of the FB NIT is the sparsh the dish goes for like 4 to 5 days and this is the biggest festing of our college.

Hotels have a great facilities here like gym, night canteen, some sports facilities, newspaper and magazines,TV room, under study room where students can peacefully learn. There is a parking lot where you can park your cycles and there is a big ground in front of the hostel where you can walk in the night. The hotel rooms are faciliated with the Wi-Fi but I would say the Wi-Fi system in the SBI net is not really great also the mobile phone networks do not connect really well here. This has been really great problem for the students because even in the departments and in the hostels the mobile network has been a great issue. Your parents cannot stay with you in the hostel rooms they have to take a guest room provided by the SVNIT to stay there. Mess food provided in the hostels are really good compared to the other nites and the colleges there are variety of food which can provide you with the different nutritions.

The main reason for me to select this college is this is situated in a very great position of a city which is widely popular and developed and the other reason is this is a tear one NIT and it provide a very good facilities. Although being old NIT the management system lags here but I didn't know about that before I joined this college. And another main reason is the placement is pretty decent here and have been consisted there are no pretty much fluctuations in the placements. Yes this is an NIT so to take the admission this college you have to clear JEE main with respective cutoff for each department like for the electrical department my rank was 22000 but I got into that. To get the admission you have to come here for the physical reporting with all the important documents that will be mentioned in the website.

The professors of my department electrical engineering is really strict. But still I would say they are very approachable if you have some problem regarding the academics problem and they will also help you so have some non academic problems too. I get to know from my seniors that you can work with your professors if you want to research about something and they will help you in that. Talking about exams there are two exams in one semester the first one is mid semester exams of 30 marks of each subject, and and semester exams of 100 marks for each subject I would say the exams level are really medium here not very difficult not very easy if you study even week day before the exam you can score a decent mark. The marking scheme is really easy her there are no negative marks for the problems you do wrong that are only positive marks it depend on the paper pattern sometimes it can be truly objective only and sometime it can be only subjective paper.

As a first you student there has been a lot of strict rules in the hostel. You cannot go outside of the time limit which has been said by the authorities. If you want to go out of the campus for few days you have to take the permission of your parents and you have to get signed by the authorities to get out you need to have a gate pass to go outlet in the night while coming back in late night you have to show then your ID proof so that they can let you in and they will mark you in late entry and they will be checked by the authorities. Also there are very other rules in the hostel itself which makes really difficult for the first students to enjoy that you cannot go on the top of the roof you cannot play music in the hostel rooms you cannot gether with a lot of people but lot of students here do not follows rules and their some how find a loop hold to enjoy themselves.
