Course Curriculum Overview

I think this university is appropriate for students who want to pursue two things simultaneously in their life. This is the best thing about SOL,DU. But SOL,DU can improve the way of teaching and this may help student a lot.

Internships Opportunities

SOL, DU have an internship cell which provides various internship programmes currently it is providing in axis bank with minimum stipend of ?5000-?10000. You can get into internships based on your course.

Fees and Financial Aid

School of open learning, delhi university offers an affordable option for pursuing graduation along with anything productive you want to pursue. I am studing bachelors in commerce (honours) and the fees I pay is ?8720 per semester and fee concession is also available for SC,ST,OBC and EWS.

Campus Life

The worst part about getting into SOL,DU is that you do not get to enjoy socialising and networking. There are barely any fests conducted but you may participate in other fests conducted by delhi university.

Admission

The admission process of SOL,DU is pretty seamless and easy you just need to pass your 12th grade with at least 50%. I got into various colleges of DU but I want to pursue a professional course also and SOL, DU is the best option for that.

Faculty

Exams are conducted in a very convinient manner but the faculty of college is not that good but the manner in which exams are conducted is pretty good. There are 2 semesters in a year. The results are provided online and internal assessments are also conducted online.

Night Life

Again the worst part you got to have no night life SOL, DU is a university which can only provide you with the degree not socialising and networking and hence there is no hostel life. Don't expect any hostels or night life.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
