Remarks

Presidency is a great college and event though every college has their negative, this college does anything to change the negatives to help the students. The college is like our second family and even after leaving the college we miss it and visit it during any fests or if we want to talk to the teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was very helpful and I got to learn a lot of new things. Some parts were difficult but the PPTs shown to us helpd to keep up as we’ll understand everything they taught. We also had tests every week the marks of which would be added to the internals so it helps us to study as well as be prepared before the semester exam. We also have field visits to many places which helped us understand the course much better so it was theory as well as practical knowledge for us.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college provide internship but I did not go for any internship through my college but the other people who have taken the internship were very pleased with it and they got to learn a lot of new things working in the field.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are really good and help is to get a job. We can choose which company we want to go for and we can sit for the interview. There are a lot of opportunities given to us as there are different companies coming for the placements.

College Events

4.5

We have a lot of fests and we have college Fest as well as department fests in which all the students learn a lot of thing. We have ‘VRITTANTA’ for the CMS department and we have other different fests in for the whole college. We also have a lot of guest lectures as well as we celebrate a lot of other things.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. There are many different colleges which charge a lot more than what Presidency has been but with the same course as well as the same subjects. We do not have to pay any extra fee excluding semester fee and exam fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers scholarships to people with good marks and even though I did not get a scholarship but the people who got it have also told that it is very easy to apply for and we can just submit our documents and the college helps us with everything.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of extracurricular activities. We have a cultural club called Disha in which people can show their talents and we have different departments in it such as dance, fashion, singing, art, etc. and all the departments have a student head and also teacher who he’d it. We have computer labs which helps the students to learn a lot of different things and also we have a basketball court.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have not stayed in the hostel so I do not know about the hostel facilities but the hostel infrastructure is good and people are very helpful there. My friends have stayed in the hostels and they never had any complaints.

Alumni/Alumna

All the senior students were very helpful. They helped us in any way and we never had any problems with them. They were always like a guardian angel along with the teachers who would help us in any of our problems.

Exam Structure

We had semester exams and before that we also had pre semester as well as tests every week so that we are prepared for the semester exams as well as many projects so that we get good internals too. We had 50 marks for internals which went from the weekly test, pre semester test, attendance as well as the projects so we have a lot of different ways of getting good marks. The other 100 marks is theory and for the noncore paper we have 79 marks for theory which was multiple questions and again 40 marks for internals.

Admission

I had to submit all my documents as well as my marks card and then there was an entrance test and also an interview as well as I got to talk to the teachers and know how everything will be taught. Before my entrance test I had to fill the form and then after that they told me that I am eligible and after paying the fees I will be a part of Presidency.

Faculty

5

The faulty is one of the best I have seen. They help you in every way and they want you to do well. I have never seen any biased person and everyone is very kind but Strict at the same time. The teachers would make presentations for us and would give us all the ings required for us to score well. We can go to the teachers after class too if we have any doubts and they would help us.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
